Just wondering, getting into the offseason. I say, if he doesn't get a bowl and win that bowl, he should be fired. Kentucky can most definitely achieve that.

Philip Montgomery, Paul Rhoads, Jay Hopson (if he has a good year), Blake Anderson, Neal Brown, etc.

They'll pay enough to attract some decent candidates, but I think it's gotten increasingly difficult to pluck smallish school coaches to bigger places with the economic climate as it is.

Also, as long as he gets to a bowl (win or lose) Stoops will keep his job.

Who would in their right mind go to UK
You have to have balls or be insane to think you can win there
If you do it is just a stepping stone to somewhere bigger

When he was fired at Arky, Bobby Petrino desperately wanted to come to UK. He even enlisted his father to work AD Barnhart for the position after Joker Phillips was canned.

I was really hoping UK would hire him, but the stink factor was too great. I just knew he'd wind up back at Louisville because they don't have any standards over there at all.

Petrino can win anywhere in college ball.

This doesn't seem to explain why Kentucky leads Arkansas in the series.

In all seriousness Mike Leach did fine here. Let Stoops run the D, Leach the O, and recruit like hell. I bet that team would be fun as shite to watch.

Dan Mullen has had some decent seasons but to say he is truthfully competiting regionally and nationally would be a lie
