You would take a 3 year backup over a 3 time All-American?
Hm. Cool.
In our system, this year, yes. I would take a guy who has been in the system three years to a guy brand new to it. Heads up, player to player, no, they are not equal.

And i took up for you in the other thread Loathor, cmon!
They fill different rolls. Pollack wouldn't actually be competing with Sutton, he would be competing with Clowney. I wouldn't replace Clowney with Pollack. I don't think Sutton is on par with Pollack, I just think he fills his roll (this year, on this team) better than Pollack would... IMO.

As good as Clowney is or could be, Pollack was better.

Did Pollack ever have a pro career, I can't remember him doing anything?
He broke his neck in first year...

I would take Glenn Dorsey or Mark Anderson.

The biggest question mark the Bama D has this year is at NT. so, gimme the fat boy.

Fairly>>>Pollack=Clowney>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cody

So you compared the two tackles to the two ends? Good job dude.
This year I would take Cody because he fills our needs more. Fairly is too small for our scheme and I think we'll actually be good at DE this year.

Let's not kid ourselves any of us would love to have Clowney. I'd take him over the other two.
In our D he would be used a lot like Hightower was and he would cause severe problems for anyone we played.
The way Spurrier uses him I think you run right at him much like Bama did Jarvis Jones in the SECCG he was pretty well held in check and should we play Clowney I think we see just how good a run stopper he is.

Who could have predicted that unbiased order?

I could see why you believe that but its a honest assessment.
Lets face it. Fairley was a beast and unstoppable. Especially in big games. His impact was unreal against UGA, LSU, BAMA, BCS National Championship. Etc... No defensive player in recent years was as dominate as him. Especially in big games.
Clowney is a man child. Though he gets shut down at times and has huge games at times, he is still the best in the business right now. I have always been a big fan but I will take the dominate DT over a DE anyday.
Pollack was a career player. He was awesome but just would not have the impact that Fairley or Clowney can have...
Cody. Has nothing to do with where he played. He was a force in the middle but his overall playmaking does not stack up to the above 3
I will take any one of them. Trust me. But my order really has nothing to do with my team affiliation...
Not in this case

Jackson Pollock is more valuable than all four of them combined.
