Another conference would want to take A&M for them to leave the SEC. I would assume the SEC would try to fight to keep them even though they wouldn't be able to do much if A&M ever wanted out.

SEC schools are the easiest P5 conference to poach right now.

Missouri is a boarder state to Iowa so that fits one criteria and Oklahoma, which was studied during the last conference movement, would accept a B1G offer if offered since it would boost their school in several ways.

Duke isn't a cultural fit for the SEC. Just isn't. VA Tech would seem like the first choice since they like to have the southern draw.

Kansas and Missouri are so similar...nobody would know the difference.

The Vols would know the difference because they would be 3-0 instead of 0-3.

Louisville, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, Florida State or Miami.

I would love to see it be ULL, though. Baseball school with a growing football program.

Missouri is not going to the Big 10. Even if the administration wanted to, there wouldn't be enough fan support. Our fanbase wants to be in the SEC. The Big 10 ship sailed away with the junior membership offer.

No grants of rights for SEC schools. Thus, the easiest schools to move to a new conference.

This is accurate. The SEC schools have the least barriers to moving to another conference among the P5.

But there's a damn good reason no one has left yet, through all this expansion. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head in this conference. Those of us who have been in other conferences understand and appreciate the weight of that.

Right, it's the easiest for schools to leave contract wise, but why exactly would a school want to leave the SEC?

What about VT is more "southern" than Duke? Do you even know what Blacksburg is like?

Contractually, sure.

In actuality (also known as the real world), no.

Either this is a heavy troll or you do not follow the SEC much. The exit fee is 0 as nobody wants to leave. You are viewing this backwards as those with the highest exit fees must do that to stop folks from leaving. The last 2 schools to leave the SEC did so about a half century ago and became poster children of why leaving is not a good idea.

Mizzou is in and folks in the B1G need to accept it and move on.

VT is on the downslope. That program is going to be a dumpster fire in another two years.
