I could understand that if you hadn't lost by two touchdowns. Otherwise it's just bullshite.

This reminds me of that "A&M vs LSU/Florida" argument we all had 2 years ago about the end of the season if they played again.

The answer is LSU. The team that lost would've lost again because Auburn, with their current team setup, is severely outmatched scheme and personnel wise with the bengals.

Solid post.

Auburn ended the season by beating Alabama, Mizzou, Georgia, and barely losing to Florida State. LSU finished the season by barely beating Arkansas, barely beating Iowa, and getting slammed by Alabama.

Anyone who make a definitive statement like this is most likely a homer themselves.

How can you say you 'barely lost' to FSU and then tout UGA and Bama as solid victories?

Auburn. Probably been a heck of a game. But Auburn would have pulled one out.

Bama D is tailor made to stop LSU style of offense.

LSU D is tailor made to stop Oregon, WVU, Auburn offense

Cam laughs hard at that.

This has become one of my favorite myths on the board. You stopped Oregon, congrats so has every defense with any pulse. I'll give them credit for their work on Manziel but Ole freaking Miss blasted them last year and we know what Cam did to them.

Well, to be fair, I could edit.

However, barely beating Arkansas should have been magnified in my mind. They fricking sucked.

Either way, LSU was the better team at the beginning of the year when it mattered, and Auburn was the better team at the end of the year.

Arky and Iowa no where near = Bama & UGA. With or without Mett.

Auburn improved drastically from the beginning of the season to the end. We barely could beat Wazzu in the beginning and then ended up beating Bama, mizzou, and should have beaten a very good FSU team.

Would have been a better game this time, but Auburn was a much different team in November.

Would you get real. Auburn was a good team last year, but NOT great. LSU was a good team, but NOT great. Why does everything now these days have to be downgraded to shite!!!

Agreed. Auburn beat a very good team in UGA, an elite team in Alabama, ran away from a very good team in Mizzou, and lost at the very end to an elite team in FSU.

Pretty solid ending.

My opinion is that Auburn beats LSU fairly solidly at that point. But, I will admit that it doesn't matter, this is all conjecture, and that Auburn couldn't do it when it had the chance.

A&M was between bama and arky, so why no mention of them? Why a barely win against Arkansas but no Hail Mary against a Georgia team that was severely injured? And to whoever mentioned Newton, it didn't matter if he was in the spread or pro cam was going to win. Marshall is no where near Cam and your argument is invalid if you think different.

So because Chavis had built a D that is perfectly suited for spread teams, you have to be a homer or a hater to not pick Auburn?

This.

Jeremy Hill would run just as well against them in a dome. He ate their fricking lunch.
