re: Who wins the offseason championship?

What the hell is up with people calling us offseason champs every year? Last year I can see that as we were hyped up by a lot of people but the majority of Tennessee fans would've told you that we were a year away. But for the last like 4-5 years before that Tennessee fans were just hoping for a bowl game. I don't see where you guys get that we're offseason champions every season. Before last year we weren't picked to win the SEC East since 2005, and haven't been picked to finish higher than 2nd since 2007. In my opinion Georgia should be called offseason champions for continuously being hyped up every season, being picked to win the East, and everyone saying "this is the year we get over the hump" and it never happens

I don't know. The Aranda hiring plus the stellar recruiting class has us all on the same page this week but the pro-Miles/anti-Miles balkanization is likely to flare back up and I just don't know that we have a strong leader like Phat Phil or Sao to bring us together. Offseason championships are team championships and I just can't see it after the November vitriol.
