Which 4 starters did LSU lose? Dworaczyk, lonergan, Jacobs are it man. We return 3 starters on the online andthe other two have a lot of experience. We return both fbs. We return all receivers.

We lost ware and ford but they weren't starters. Jacobs was serviceable te but not a huge loss. Dworaczyk was the same. Biggest loss on o is easily lonergan.

We didn't lose four starters from the entire offense, much less the line. We lost two off the line plus the te.

I think most UGA fans who have done at least a little research know this. Unfortunately, some don't. I mean the participation chart is posted on LSU's website for anybody who wants to look at it.

I have no idea. YOUR guys are the one saying you lost 4. I am not THAT familiar with LSU.

You got me convinced!

Do you remember who brought the cocks "D" into this conversation? It defenitely wasn't me. I was just letting that SOMEONE know what LSU's inexperienced O-line did against that GREAT front four.

Is that four starters on offense toal or four starters on the O-line. Either way how bout you name them?

Over the last four regular season games the new O-line starters had time to settle in and get comfortable. Over that span Mett's passing game avg went up to over 265 yards per game at 62%. Projected over a season that would come out to over 3,200 yards. Good enough for about sixth in the SEC. All four games were SEC opponents.

Show me just ONCE where I compared uga's O-line to LSU's.

By the way, the first magizine I picked up had LSU WR's ranked #2 in the SEC for the upcoming season and uga's #4.

Now, now. You don't have to make excuses. You haven't lost. Yet. At least wait until after the game. Do you guys really have to stretch that much to be funny?

I brought their Defensive Line into one thread, although, I'm not sure if it was this one or not. But, what si your point? Again. Would you like for me to show you where LSU ranked in rushing AND passing last year? Would you like for me to show you where at least one magazine has their OL ranked this year? You guys are the ones claiming to have a greatly improved OL this year. Well, just how bad was it last year? because your OL is ranked 9th in the conference going into the season. Musta been pretty punk last year, huh?

In this thread alone you guys have claimed to have the best coaches, the best wide receivers, top tier running backs, a GREAT defense, a greatly improving OL, a greatly improved offense....crap. I guess the rest of the country should just call off their games and crown you the National Champions. I don't see how you eaver got beat last year, and whoa be unto anybody that would dare challenge you this year!

Let me get thsi straight. Your OL improved and got comfortable over your last 4 games of the season and Mettenberg's stats went through the roof, right? And if you project that improvement over the entire season he would have finished SIXT in the conference and you are proud of that?

ok.

We must have the same magazine, then!

Problem is...you still got Mett as your QB. I know, I know. he will become greatly improved with your new OC. because Flacco's stats absolutely went through the roof with his help.

Hey guys...you have your opinion, and i have my opinion. I have nothing but respect for LSU and what they have accomplished. This could easily go down as one of the best games in college football this year.

I wish nothing but the best for you guys, your OL, QB and Defense. (Except of course, when you play us!
) You have a great team, and i know you will have a great year! We can continue to beat this horse to death, but really...what's the point? Good luck to you and your team!

Question for the dawg fans... Going to be able to make the game this year, what 3 bars should I keep my eye on.

43-10 and 24-8

That's LSU's record over the last four seasons. 40% of the total losses and 50% of SEC losses came in the '09 season.

All those wins happened with zich of a passing offense. Just think how effective the LSU offense can be with any kind of threat in the passing game.

That's why Mett's improvement over the last four SEC games is such a big deal.

The deal about the cocks was just to show that not everybody had such a hard time with that front four. You brought them up not me.

Not the best WRs. Tigers just return more production there than uga.

Magnolias: Closest to stadium technically. Downstairs has an HD projector and a pool table along with two TVs behind the bar. There's also a patio area with a TV. Upstairs has two HD projectors, 4 pool tables, and 2 TVs behind the bar. It's at the corner of Broad and Jackson.

Allgood: A bit of an older crowd typically, but everywhere will have a bit of an older crowd on game weekends. A lot of room both up and downstairs with a few pool tables upstairs. it also has a nice large outdoor area upstairs. It's on Clayton.

The 3rd could go in a variety of ways. If you're a younger guy or old frat star you'd definitely enjoy Generals. You should probably stop by and get one of their Dixieland Iced Teas anyway. Its on Clayton. If you want to dance late night, then you'll want to hit Cloud up which is on Clayton right beside Generals. If you want a more low key atmosphere at a pretty nice spot then hit up Blue Sky on Broad.

Those would be my suggestions and are the ones I still frequent after living here for 7 years and being 25 years old. There are a ton of others to choose from.

they don't depend on a team to send them one or two games

Yeah, I never said they did - that was you.

Georgia will have film from every game LSU has played

Yeah, that's my point. The game film UGA will have of LSU will show LSU throwing the ball. They will prepare for what will look like an effective passing game (vs the likes of UAB, Kent and AU). Just that threat of an LSU passing game will take a little pressure off the LOS.

quote:

Do you disagree with that?

No. And I'm not sure why you're making such a big deal out of how teams get film on each other. The bottom line is that they do, and you can set teams up with tendencies.

OTOH, I could see LSU playing their cards close and not showing much passing in the first few games, and then opening it up vs UGA in hopes of catching them napping. But that seems like a riskier play, and I see Miles as very much conservative - he'll go the safe route. Miles should bring the passing game along slowly in early September, go back to a smash-mouth ground game vs UGA and not risk passing the ball against a quality conference team.

I didn't mean that literally, I just meant show them plays on the tape they'll have that may not appear in the actual game.

I think we just misunderstood each other. I thought you were saying LSU should only send Georgia film showing LSU throwing the ball and then come out running it.

In case you haven't noticed, I can be a bit slow sometimes!

Actually, you might have the best talent among 1 or 2 receivers..maybe as deep as 3. Georgia's strength is depth more than anything. We have 5-6 receivers that can catch and run very well. And some very good TE.

PLEASE don't misunderstand me. This si going to be a war, and nobody will get our unscathed. It can go either way. LSU has an excellent team, and if anybody thinks they will run over them...well....they'll learn soon enough. This will not be an easy game for either team.

What does the board think of this one ?
Georgia will already have played Clemson and South Carolina and LSU will be coming in after playing Auburn.
The storyline I'm guessing is Mett going back to Georgia.
Who you gots?

UPDATE:
Unfortunately, the Georgia and LSU games were running concurrently. I chose to watch Georgia @ Clemson. Clemson did a good job against Georgia's offense. The ABC commentators were spot on with their analyses. Clemson defensive backs gave too much cushion at times and going prevent on Georgia's last drive was a boneheaded decision.

It appeared that Clemson's defense didn't have the same intensity in the fourth, but they didn't let go of the game. Bryant, the guy who fielded Georgia's onside kick, did not grab a pass in the game. IMO, that and Clemson's inconsistent cornerback setups are even with Georgia playing without Malcolm Mitchell. Todd Gurley's 75 yard touchdown run and Sammy Watkins 77 yard touchdown pass should be ignored in analyses. Georgia broke out a few other decent length runs, but overall Clemson held up against their ground game.

When you take my adjustments into consideration, the final score looks more like 31-21 which is a 10 point lead much like the one Clemson held in the closing minutes.

Clemson was better than both LSU and Georgia when they played them recently. Both games are close on the scoreboard, and the offensive stats seem to favor Georgia, but ultimately Clemson earned and deserved their win.

LSU's stats against TCU look good, but I could only catch glimpses of the game since it was running at the same time as Georgia @ Clemson. LSU should have little trouble with UAB, Kent St, and Auburn. Georgia has South Carolina this weekend.

LSU fans, are you liking your chances more against Georgia?
Georgia fans, what expectations and concerns did the Clemson game raise?
