It is illegal to use endowment money for athletics. That is not the point. You have to have alumni who can and will give money to the university to have an endowment that large.
We have plenty of alumni to support whatever we want to do. When Kyle Field is finished next year we will easily be in the top ten of profitable athletic departments if not in the top five.

I could see that. Gundy has actually had somewhat better success than Miles did at OSU (although Gundy was building upon the foundation that Miles laid). And Gundy loves to open up his offense, which is something that LSU fans have been screaming for. If LSU and Gundy could somehow keep Chavis as DC, that might even be an upgrade (although Gundy would have to prove he could continue to recruit at the level that Miles does).

Legends in their own mind. Texas A&M is passing you and it pisses you off and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
We already beat you in the Director's Cup every year and our men's sports are catching up and surpassing you. It starts with better coaching, better facilities and more money.
