With a lot of new backs getting a starting job this year, and also up and coming backs getting more carries (Trent Richardson, etc...) Who do you guys think will lead your school in rushing?

For me at Mississippi State I think we could easily see 4 guys with over 500 yards by the end of the season. Robert Elliot, Vick Ballard, Chris Relf, and Montrell Connor. Of those four I really think that Chris Relf if he stays healthy will lead us in rushing this season. He had over 500 yds rushing last season in a limited role, and this year he is bigger and stronger than last year and more focused on leading us as our starting QB.

Jeff Demps. He had 745 yards on 99 carries in 2009. He'll probably have 120+ carries in 2010, and will probably rush for about 900 yards.

Mike Gillislee and Emmanuel Moody will each have around 300-500.

Chris Rainey and Andre Debose will chip in with about 200-300 from the slot.

I honestly don't know... won't be surprised if Trent has as many if not more yards/carries. Good problem to have IMO.

DO you rebs think that Nutt is going to run Masoli that much? Hmmm interesting to see if he runs a lot if he doesnt get injured against SEC defenses.

I think he will have to run a lot because there is no way he can learn the playbook so quick.

My best guess would be Michael Ford.

Some Ole Miss fans I know (that dont know a ton about football) think he will come in and start from day 1. I told him it doesnt work that way, and they go into a rant about how much talent Masoli has and what he did at Oregon. I try to tell them Nutt doesnt run the same offense as Oregon

Only time will tell.

I don't think we'll see a 1000 yard rusher for OM but rather a bunch of guys with 500ish yards. I think bolden and Enricky are both good for at least 500-600 and I think Masoli is talented enough and Nutt will use him enough in the right situations for him to pop off around 400-500.

So it's not out of the realm of possibilty that he is one of our leading rushers

I think that if he stays healthy Bolden could be in the 800-1,000 yd range IMO. He is a very solid RB.

OM fans seem to love Bolden. I don't remember ever seein much out of him except for that one video where he like outruns a DB or somethin.
