Well we lost 3 really good players on defense but nobody that isn't being replaced by good players.

That is my point. It is very possible, if not likely, that 2 of the 3 replacements are better players athletically than the guys they replaced.

I'll pick Alabama since this is the closet they will come to finishing last.

If he's as bad as people say why did their defenses not lose more games?

He was a linebacker coach. He didn't have much say in the defensive game plan at bama

Arkansas will beat everyone. A&M will beat everyone else (Ole Miss, Vandy, and LSU are the away games). Everyone else will lose at least 2 games in the West.

He was the DC Saban's first year, and then Kirby came in 08

State won't finish last returning the best qb in the west. Offense will be improved and additional weapons added. I expect a rebuilding year with the defense.
Ole Miss has questions at Qb, and running game, although their schedule sets up pretty nicely.
Most improved teams will be A&M and Arkansas
Bama will Bama
LSU could be a little improved or a disaster could unfold. I haven't decided which yet.
Auburn should be improved on defense. I don't know anything about their new qb.
