On the one hand you can say it's O because 2010 Auburn was lucky to beat Alabama.

It wasn’t luck. It was random bursts of talent.

On a serious note yeah the one play I always come back to in that game was Mark Ingram getting run down and having the ball punched out from behind. It stayed in bounds and found its way into the end zone by the grace of God. I think a Bama TD there may have iced it. Fairley wrecking Steen at the goal line and getting that suck fumble though I’d not consider luck. That was just a huge play.

Well Coach O definitely had a more generous AD that likes to throw other people’s money away !

O was on the short bus. Hats off to him for what he was able to do with the limited capacity to process the English language.

It has to be Chizik. We had people in the football ops building who didn't even know what their job descriptions were when Kelly arrived. And O's right hand man/chief talent scout is a convicted felon.

Don't know and don't care but the fall off of both teams after their natty was incredible. I don't think any other teams have pulled that off but I could be wrong.

Michigan may give them a run for their money this year.

Also, Washington didn't technically win however I think they will fall off quite a bit as well.

I watched the game with an Auburn fan. Great guy, funny as hell. After Auburn scored right before the half, he said "We got this, no problem". I was thinking yeah.....ok. With the way Bama dominated the first half, I was trying to figure out where to hang the new Daniel Moore.

Damned if he didn't end up being right. The Mark Ingram fumble was a killer but Bama should have never let it get close enough to make a difference. Auburn did everything absolutely right in the second half and Bama kept finding new and exciting ways to screw the pooch. That, not luck, was the difference in the game.

Auburn was a 1 man team.

Such a dumb take. Stud Rbs, good WRs, senior OL, excellent DL with Nick Fairley, Stout LBs and decent secondary.

But yeah, it was just Cam Newton

2019 LSU had a shite ton of talent. Not hard to see why they were so good.

Cam Newton pulled off the biggest carry job ever. Besides Nick Fairley and that one running back whose name escapes me, Newton was the team, or at least he put himself out there like that. That year was just crazy.

can tell you the 2010 Auburn team chapped Gump asses like nothing else we will ever see again.

It wasn’t even the loss as much as it was watching Bama piss away a whole half of kicking their rearends and losing like that. I had never seen a Saban led team do something like that.

Depends on your metrics...

Winning more with less? Chizik

Winning sooner? Chizik

Bigger statistical outlier? Chizik

Building the better team? Orgeron

Winning a more competitive league? Orgeron

Fell off the cliff the following season? Orgeron

Needless to say it depends on what metric(s) you value most....

When a team wins a championship they tend to lose good players and coaches.

Both of these guys lost very good offensive coordinators which hurts unless you have Nick Saban depth talent on the roster. Neither could reload like that.
