also, maybe i'm alone here, but given the only real baseball played at the Met is the SECT, they might as well change the dimensions of the outfield. i'm sick and tired of these boring games. i see enough of them as is without having a TDA-light for the SEC tournament.

That's why the move needs to be made.. Just having a different setting/background will enhance the experience.

Would be awesome but the RV crowd would never go for it... That segment is pretty scared of being in a bigger city where minorities outnumber them.

true, and they will continue as long as the SEC continues to sit on their hands. looks like they've gotten lazy with basketball too choosing to have it in nashville 9 of the next 11 years.

It needs to move from Hoover.
Bham would be great but the parking and crime in the area is a concern. Doubt RVers want to park there overnight. Could bring in police for overnight patrol but it is still on par with camping with a pack of wolves.
Hopefully the baseball tourney is big enough in the next few years that we are able to put it in Atlanta in the new stadium .

I like the Met, but I live here. I dont understand all the crying about the Met being shitty. It's not a shitty park. It plays huge, but not a shitty park.

the SEC tournament has been big for years, but it will never be big enough for a stadium that seats 40k people

compared to the parks that have been built in the last 15 years, yes it's pretty bad.

Because it has been in a city with a metro area of 1 million.
Atlanta has 6 million or so metro area. I can bet attendance picks up off of that. LSU fans will travel for it still. USC fans will be there in good numbers.
Is to there a minor league team in Atlanta subburbs?
Nashville would be a good spot too. Memphis.

It's a no brainer if you ask me. Would become an even bigger event.
Would be a lot more fun considering there would things to do before or after a game.

For whatever reason, the league's coaches love Hoover & they are the ones who keeps voting to keep it there. Last I recall it's there for a few more yr at least, by contract. I do not see the love as it's nothing like the SEC venues as far as the size of the park; but it does come close to Omaha, so mabe that's the reason?

I'd like to see it rotate around the southeast, but the SEC is lazy.
I think the bigger issue is attendance
If the SEC basketball tournament was in Rupp it would fill every year
If the SEC W basketball tournament was in TB it would fill every year
Obviously it would be a huge benefit to UK men and UT women, but to make it fair you need to move it, but not far from the most who will attend and support it. For baseball, look at who wins and who shows up. SEC and west both have enough solid teams to not put it in either extreme. Someplace in Alabama or Georgia is probably the optimal for the most teams to reach.
I can see Vandy fans traveling to Hoover more than I can see them going to BR or CS. On the other side, not sure I can see Ole Miss fans driving to Columbia or Gainesville.
Football, Atlanta makes most sense
Basketball, M & W, Nashville makes the most sense
Baseball, Hoover makes as good sense as any
