Any chance he is doing this on purpose hoping they fire him and have to pay out his contract?
My thoughts exactly. He's taking a page out of the Shula book.

am of the opinion that Hugh Nall and Ensminger need to hit the road. If you look back on the Franklin fiasco, they were the two coaches who essentially went against everything Franklin was putting into the offense and were coaching the players that the offense would never work. And from there, it all went downhill...

Um, I could be wrong, but I think he had a better record WITH Franklin than he did without him. And Tubby hung himself when he did that because now he has no scapegoat.

Well, yes. After Franklin was gone we had Nall and Ensminger running the offense. Just for reference, they are the same people who ran the offense in 2003 with Carnell Williams and Ronnie Brown(and our offense finished near last in the SEC that year). IMO, they are very incompetent, and Tuberville is way to loyal towards them.

ETA: After Franklin left, we went back to running our old offense. You can't just switch like that and expect it to work. Of course, it wasn't working with Franklin or without Franklin, as I think the offensive stats were very similar.

Us real tiger fans know NOTHING about coaches and their loyalty.

I love Tuberville and hope he can maintain a legacy at Auburn to where he is still welcome. He gave me an undefeated season in my senior year at Auburn. He has run a good program and beat Alabama 6 times in a row. Sometimes, you need to make a change. The last three years have been extremely brutal watching Auburn football. We need some new blood.

yeahhhhhhhhhh

we just got rid of the best coach our program has ever and will ever have. Tubs came to our Metro/ Commuter school and brought us an undefeated season and share of the National Championship -- Oh this is a joyous day.

I hate to say this but the SEC is beginning to look like the old USFL. That might be there undoing....

If you keep Tuberville happy, Auburn could be a long-stading national power like Penn State under Paterno or ND under Holtz. If you run his arse off, you will end up like the Colorado, Nebraska, ND and Texas A&M of the last 10 years IMO.

I don't know, but he better not be planning on moving to Starkville.

Where should I start? He has been a good coach, but he looks like he has lost the fire just like Jackie did from 2001 on. I know the look. Also, he seems to be as stubborn as Croom with his core coaching staff. I want a young, energetic coach with something to prove. Plus, I don't want a guy who has coached all over the SEC West. It's just not a good fit.
