Yes it does. The more Bama, or any team wins, the more attractive they become for the top tier recruits. How does that not hurt teams that recruit directly against them?

It's your prerogative to say that, but I never will.

I'm not dedicated and all 'mean mug hattery' at my "foes", I guess.

They won the right to play in the game in accordance with the rules we all agreed upon at the beginning of the season.

I have no issue with them. I'll just cheer like hell for LSU to beat them by 3 TDs next season and congratulate them for their victory in this one.

Roll Tide......until we meet again!

Ima tell you how I think when any other SEC is in the Championship game. It hurts the recruiting for my team when they aren't in the game and if they(the other team) win it hurts 2 fold especially when it comes to recruits that are on the fence.

You could tell a recruit "We've been to 3 out of 4 BCSNC's"

OR

"We've won 3 out of 4 BCSNC's"

Does it really make much difference? The damage is done.

News Flash!

Saban and Bama have been recruiting pretty well for a while. I find this argument silliness.

Do you REALLY think that if Bama loses this game that the recruits are gonna say "wow...Bama and Saban suck. They lost in the BCS CG....therefore, I shall take my talents to a team that didn't even PLAY in it!"

Its goofy. Every recruit knows they are a good program. They all know LSU is good. They all know Auburn is a good place to play. Etc.

The recruits are not being fooled. They are making decisions based upon many things. Least of which is whether Bama ends up #1 v #2 this season

I tell myself, you have to cheer for Alabama, they are in the SEC.

That... and you have to feel sorry for them. 1-5 against Notre Dame. Bear Bryant has "0-4 against Notre Dame" on his tombstone.

Prayers sent, Bama fans.

Bama winning could help then next year in a couple of ways.

Maintaining The aura of SEC invincibility through the offseason, thus possibly increasing LSU's preseason ranking.

Also leaving LSU with a possible win over the "Defending National Champs" next year, which always looks good on a resume. This could provide an important boost in opinion near the end of next year.

I'm sure y'all will get to .500 against Notre Dame someday before I die.

Saban doesn't want "0-4 against Notre Dame" on his tombstone, right?
