From living in Nashville the last year, I would say Bama runs Tennessee. I actually rarely see Vol stuff around, but Bama stuff is everywhere

Stanford, Duke, USC, Miami, Notre Dame, TCU, Baylor...these private schools maintain academic excellence and still are doing better than UT in football. So, what is it that Vandy is being held to that they aren't?

I live in TN too and you might be right I live right out side of Knoxville (about an hour) and I would say its 1/3 TN stuff 1/3 Bama and 1/3 Virginia Tech.
