Where do we start with Ohio?

Instead of trying to point out little stereotypes of the South, let's just look at whats going on with your beloved state.
Population is moving out! Please tell us, o displaced one, why is Ohio one of the top states in losing electoral votes? Everyone in state joining the military?

Downtown Atlanta is dangerous at night. I have had to stay near the convention center in the past and have been approached by crazies several times on a short walk back from dinner. No other choice but to stay out in Buckhead, Lenox or the Galleria area...or even near the airport (Spondivits restaurant is great).

"The United States Census Bureau's 2011 American Community Survey estimated a median household income of $24,006.[38] A 2007 report by CNNMoney.com stated that Youngstown has the lowest median income of any U.S. city with more than 65,000 residents.[39]

Between 1960 and 2010, the city's population declined by over 60%. Youngstown's vacant-housing rate is twenty times that of the national average"

Apt descriptors, all. Far more originality than you have been able to muster to this point. I have come to realize you are incapable of original, clear and rational thought.

Carry on, wordsmith.

Columbus is growing and the economy is as strong as ever. Development is going on all over the place. Great city with excellent schools in the burbs.

Biggest does not equal wealthiest but nice try.

Per capita the small private schools probably kick the Bucknuts in the nuts.

Ohio State endowment 3.1 Billion
Vanderbilt endowment 4.0 Billion
Harvard endowment 36.4 Billion

Yes, dated several chicks from there till I came to my senses and their fat bombs went off in their early 30's.

I've only been to Columbus once, for a conference. It was nicer than Cincinnati.

I have only passed through a few times. Columbus looks like the prototypical American City. I'm sure it has some great bar districts as you mentioned with having Ohio State in it's boundaries.

However, nobody in the south will probably ever go unless we play a game there. There is a college town within an hour of probably everybody in the South with just as good a bar scene and tale to chase. I only go north out of pure necessity. My cousin is married to the Boston Bruins center David Krejci, and Boston is a pretty cool place to visit, in the summer or fall of course.

Don't even get started with Georgia.

Have lived in both, currently live in Ohio. Georgia's better and it isn't even close. Every state has its shitholes, but few have them at the level of places like Youngstown, Dayton, Canton, etc... Cleveland has gotten better with the casino and skywalks downtown, but the state as a whole has been in a state of depression since the steel mills started closing. Youngstown, Cleveland, Toledo, Akron, Dayton, Canton, and Cincinnati are all well below their peak population for a reason.

I'll never forget I was at a training Conference in Tampa back in 2004, and there was a guy named Jeff in his late 40s or early 50s there too. Jeff was from Columbus and worked for OSU. Apparently he was fascinated by the Hooters restaurant right up the street because he went there every night for dinner. So my co-worker and I went with him and the rest of the class to Hooters on the last night, this was nothing special because we have Hooters all over Atlanta, but he said something I have never heard another grown man say. He said this about one of the waitresses: "She has the a$$ of a 12 year old boy, I'd f**k her in front of my wife".

Those Ohio people...
