Gotta go with Ron Franklin. The games he called with Mike Gottfried back in the 80s-90s were as close to perfect as TV sports coverage can be, IMHO. And in every long-time SEC fans heart of hearts, they know Munson was the best in history.

Verne sucks. How Gary Danielson doesn't put a plastic bag over his head each broadcast is baffling. Although his call of Eric Berry lighting up Moreno will forever be ingrained in my mind.

I'll take John Ward, he was amazing.

For national broadcast, I guess I'll go with Nessler.

Hard to match the SEC radio guys in the 90's...
All have been named.Munson,Ward,Fyffe,Gold,
Not sure that anyone mentioned Cawood Ledford.Much better known for hoops but also did some FB

Not a big fan of our current play by play guy (Scott Howard)

Dave Rowe and Carter Blackburn and Aaron Taylor ARE SOME OF THE WORST I'VE EVER SEEN ON TV...especially the freakin meathead Taylor.Thankg God there aren't many CBS doubleheaders so we don't have to listen to those idiots.

Cawood did some national games back in the day and football as you said. That's personal bias though.

Off the top of my head though I'd have to say Joe Dean and Verne. Verne drives us crazy but he'll forever be affiliated with the SEC.
