LSU fans liked him but he was by no means a national name before the 2011 season. People will expect perfection from HB7 and he will disappoint. The trash talk will continue though and he will be known more as a punk than an elite player (see Vontaze Burfict today v. a year ago).

That's because he was overshadowed by pp7. If you watched LSU football in 2010, mathieu was very easy to find on the field. He made plays non stop
