LSu and AU won AP titles in the 50's. UGA didnt until 1980.

The 3 titles LSU claims are all Consensus NCs. Not ones given by BS organiztions.

Not gonna go into this one all the way but 2003 wasn't consensus. Also, who's to say that isn't a reputable title. Anyone here from 1942 who can argue it? Also, if we counted every title we were awarded we'd say 5.

Aubrun and LSU's titles from the 50's were at least AP titles. What was your '42 title?

I wouldn't say over-rated to Georgia but instead under-performing.

Ga is a Top 10 team in wins since 1970 and has 104 wins since 2000 with the 3 BCS bowl appearances and 3 SEC CG appearances.

Other than perhaps for no BCS NCG appearance, I'm not sure under-performing would describe Ga. imo

Who awarded UGA a title in 1942?

Yea but I'm not trying to compete with LSU in this argument. My point is the OP is a dumb shite in calling us the most overrated SEC team that is below AU and equal to Ole Miss because clearly he's had his dumb arse under a rock for a while. Or he's a butt hurt gnat.

B(QPRS) Berryman (QPRS) , BR Billingsley Report , DeS DeVold System ,HS Houlgate System , L Litkenhous , PS Poling System , SR Sagarin Ratings , WS Williamson System

Here ya go, the polling organizations that "awarded" UGA the '42 title.

Agreed, under achieving would have been a better use of words.

I support this thread, and agree. UGA is easily the most over-rated football program in the SEC.

Thank ya sir. People also have to consider that there wasn't one uniform poll to decide it in 1942 and even that article said our 6 polls were recognized by the NCAA. Point is UGA recognizes it and as much as we banter on this none of the self respecting UGA fans will differ so really there isn't much use in arguing it

Snicker.

11th (3rd in the SEC) in wins, 3rd in SECC's with 12, 2nd best all time record in the SEC against top 25 competition.

Yep.

UGA sucks.

If you want to argue UGA has underachieved since Dooley retired? Fine. Go ahead. I agree.

But I wouldn't say UGA is the most overrated program in the SEC all time.
