My gut says Auburn but with all of the turmoil surrounding the LSU program right now, I could see it go either way

Mississippi State is easily the biggest joke in the history of the SEC, and easily the worst program in the SEC. Congrats on having 2 mediocre years in a row, you should probably stop talking though

The verdict is still out on Steele as weather he is a going to be successful as DC in the SEC. I personally hope Les promotes coach O to DC. In my opinion he should have been given the DC job last year.
I feel sorry for Auburn, they got a unproven DC. He does seem to be a good recruiter.

1. Steele was offered a more lucrative contract at a school where his brother is the Associate AD.
2. LSU will get a better DC than they had last year, maybe even better than 3rd and Chavis..
3. LSU may have the Top recruiting class in the entire country in 34 days, and still has some of the best recruiters and assistant coaches anywhere in Wilson, Orgeron, Ensminger et al.
I like that kind of "turmoil."

It's not really a terrible hire for Aubie considering their coach is going to be fired next year.
