We don't have one. I was raised to hate bama the most, but it's only a rivalry if that hatred is reciprocated. And I'm sure bama reserves more of their hate for auburn and Tennessee.

Ole miss is in no way our rival. For older people maybe they consider it somewhat a rivalry. But the current students like myself and my generation we couldn't give a crap about ole miss. We really don't have one. Auburn is maybe the closest thing now considering the recent history between us, but I'm sure they put more emphasis on bama than us so it's not a true rivalry either.

We're all alone

nah, too many of the rednecks in north louisiana and BR hate anything and everything to do with New Orleans.

Well, I live in North LA and have all my life, save a short stay in BR. I'm not a redneck at all but I can tell you that everyone I know in North LA loves both LSU and the Saints. There are a few exceptions....I think I can count 3 that I know.

Regarding the jealousy thing, Nope! We all live in the same State!

if this decade is anything like the past decade, our rivalry will only grow. especially with winning 4 of the 10 NCs

I wish the Egg Bowl would become legit again. Last time both teams played each other with both having bowl implications was like 1999 or 2000

Texas A&M,

If LSu was smart they would renew this yrly rivalry because it was a great rivalry, keeps your presence in Texas and it would be a Big 12 win for the tigers most years.

If we did that though we have to pay them the 100,000 we owe them

New Orleans Saints. They'll overtake LSU football as the #1 team in the state if they haven't already.

Back in the fifties and sixties and seventies it was Ole Miss until it became a runaway every year so that was given up then Tulanre fans wanted it to be but that never became of anything all it tokk was two twenty fife year LSU winning steaks and LSU said thanks but no thanks that's too easy. Texas A&M wanted to be one but when Texas told them when the Big 12 came to be they had to stay out of La on a regular basis they gave that up.

So we do not have one by default, now Arkansas is trying too but LSU wants to get rid of that damn boot. So right now it is just waite and see. Our closses games over the last 20-25 years has been with Auburn but they have the Iorn bowl. They couldn't handle two rivalries anyway.

It's shifted somewhat. Tulane was the first big rival. They were in-state had some great teams and were in the SEC at one time. Then it shifted to Ole Miss who was very good in the 50's and 60's, then that kind of fell by the way side when they started sliding in the 70's. They are still fun to make fun of though! Florida and Auburn have become much bigger rivals over the last two decades and of course there's Alabama. Who likes Alabama after all? No one outside of Alabama.
