aTm whole offense is based off the ability to JFF to scramble and make plays. You take him out of the equation and they are Ole Miss.

Not necessarily. JFF took the offense and made it look even better than it was. Showers was running the same shite through the spring ball and doing well.

JFF's improvement as a passer changed all that, though. Don't kid yourself, though, Showers is a scrambler too, and with a better arm than Manziel.

That said, I hope we don't have to use him next year except in garbage time

I think Alabama losing McCarron would hurt more than people think. Year one he was a game manager and his job was just not to lose a game. Last year he was opened up more. Look at that last drive against LSU.

I think the passing game would take a hit.

Or was this just some flame attempt at LSU fans since all your posts since have been LSU related, even though no one mentioned Mettenberger.

Def not a flame, just wondering. Since Rivers is from Alabama it got me thinking. Think I'd rather Bama taken him over Ely a couple years ago. Meant for the thread to be more open ended

I think losing Mettenberger would make us take a step back. Would have to see how Rivers can lead. With the loss of so many people on the LSU team. Losing a leader like Mettenberger would hurt.

A&M losing Manziel is still a bigger loss though. They are their team. Especially losing Swope and Jocekel.

This is a pretty dumb thread, obviously the answer is JFF...

Would anyone notice if McCarron was gone?

Rivers is pretty awful. I, for one, hope we never have to rely on him as our starting QB

As good as JFF is I think showers would do a very good job if manziel goes down.

If the only options are those three I would say bama. Tide offense will go through mmcarron in '13. If tide has no pass threat then everyone will stack the line and force the NEW QB to beat them. With that relatively new O-line bama would have trouble moving the chains.

If it's for the entire SEC, then my choice is ole miss. Their "O" goes as wallace goes. No experience behind him.

First response was correct... no need to beleaguer the point. Doesn't mean they'd be automatically terrible, just that they would have the biggest detrimental impact.

Who's number 2?
If Lemay were going in for us I'd be worried but I feel ok with Mason in the backup role.

As far as hurt the least, I'd say SCjr with Thompson?, then UGA with Mason...just a guess tho...

The good teams in the league don't give a $#!+. The good teams in the league are two and three deep at QB just like they are at every other position.
