I think Myles Garret was over rated from a football perspective, yes he is a freak athlete.

Wasn't Myles double teamed 3 times more than Barnett?

Yeah Myles must have been overrated

Show me that stat, not to mention most of his sacks came against crap opponents. At least Barnett competed well against top competition

The answer to your question is "Vol fans, coonasses, and those who are jealous of Aggie wealth and academic superiority."

Garrett is with the Browns while Barnett is with the Eagles. That gives Barnett quite an edge.

No one who can claim Derek Barnett is jealous of Myles Garrett or TAMU in any way.

This is all you need to know

MG: 12/32.5 sacks against SEC
DB: 29/33 sacks against SEC

MG played the whole conference schedule on one leg.

Plus, he never got trucked by a QB at the goal line. When Knight ran over Barnett like that, I started to question the hype.

Seems like some people disagree with your assessment so much so that they put money behind it.
Pick 1

Myles Garrett - $30.4 million contract with a $20.25 million signing bonus.

Pick 14

Derek Barnett - •Total Contract Value: $12,849,404

Trust us. Tennesseans know better than anyone how dumb the Haslams are when it comes to anything football related.

Top Pick Myles Garrett Impressive As Browns Open Camp
quote:

Bursting off the line of scrimmage during a pass-rush drill, Garrett quickly got around offensive tackle Rod Johnson, a fellow rookie who could do little to slow down the speedy defensive end and top pick in this year’s draft.

Garrett was quickly in the backfield and came within arm’s reach of quarterback Kevin Hogan, prompting loud cheers and the traditional barks and woofs by Browns fans who spent most of the last season muzzled and miserable.

On the next play, with coach Hue Jackson watching, Garrett beat Johnson again.

Garrett’s dominance on consecutive snaps was among the biggest highlights Thursday as the Browns took their first steps in distancing themselves from going 1-5 in 2016.

“I was over there in that ring,” said Jackson, who is keeping close tabs on the franchise’s newest star. “Obviously he’s a good player. But as I told Myles, you’ve got to do it every day and keep working at it and keep his head down and stay humble and keep working. And I think the young man will do that.”
quote:

Garrett is the complete package. Blessed with rare physical gifts, the 21-year-old also has refreshing humility, something that comes across during interviews.

Myles Garrett scores impressive win over Joe Thomas
quote:

After Garrett blows by Joe Thomas, he lightly pushes quarterback Cody Kessler for what would have been a sack on any other play. Kessler dropped like a fly. Myles Garrett heard an earful from Jackson after tossing the first team quarterback to the ground.

Ehhhhhhh

Those same people make decisions every year that perennially get them a top 5 draft pick.
