We played (and were raped by) #1 UNC yesterday. They had a lefty hurler named Hobbs Johnson. It occurred to me that his name was baseball greatness (what else am I supposed to think about when the opponent puts up 14 runs?).

Past or present, what player from your school would you nominate to the Player's Name Hall of Fame?

For us, it's gotta be Sittichoke Huckuntod '91.

Real sad story. He is selling scrap metal in Ensley and stabbed a dude in county.

If you want to prove this theory just listen to Jim Ellis call baseball games when your teams play us. He will find the most interesting name on your roster and wear it the frick out during the game. He over pronounces too

Some so far this year

Samfords DurrrDollar!
SJU's Dooooooogaaaaah!
and somebody had a player whose name ended in moooooooshhh! (Carmoooosh maybe)

Last year
Stanik!!!
Fic a chelloooo!
SIKES!!!! Orvis

to name a few. Florida had several with Jim Ellis type names but frick Florida

ETA: Sikes Orvis really is a cool name though
