Easily Auburn if you compare preseason expectations to what actually happened. AU went from preseason title contender with a Heisman favorite in football to a 2-6 SEC record and their Heisman man losing his starting job after a few games. And it wasn't media hype alone. Gus was hyping his own team and his QB to the media. It was his supposed specialty on offense that was one of the worst in the nation in every category. Basketball wise they hire Pearl and even in year two they are still one of the worst teams in all of NCAA basketball. Baseball is not a relevant discussion so no comment.

Pearl caught some unusually bad breaks. The team was NIT bound about mid season when the injury bug and crazy player quit the team bug hit them.

I think Pearle will be fine at AU and they will be much improved with the added talent.
We'll see this season if Malzhan is in over his head in this conference.
