The only time in the history of the SEC and college football when one coach/program got a coach fired was when Pat Dye and Auburn got Bill Curry fired.
Losing one game in a regular season and getting canned is getting fired because of one other coach.(1989)
Another coach being fired after a several year skid when you weren't even around for part of the slide is not forcing somebody to be fired.

By the way I sould note that Fulmer officially resigned after SC beat UT in '08. There for we should get credit for that one.
