Not sure. AJ will be a late rounder. Marshall will probably get picked up by someone in a late round as well due to sheer talent and ability.

Much better chance Marshall sees the field in the NFL at some position than AJ though.

I will answer this after Marshall leads AU to a championship and a 15-0 record this coming season.

Glad to see you're keeping next years expectations tempered.

I'd take AJ as a backup to Matt Ryan for sure.

I know I should be more positive, but we lost a top LT in Robinson.

Chip Kelly could take him as a project and if he doesn't work out, move him to WR.

Dude has a cannon for an arm. After having an offseason to work with Gus, and two great WR's to throw to next year, he should improve his stock significantly.

Most people won't agree, but when Marshall threw the ball, he did fine. Sure we was off the mark a lot but that was probably as much due to not throwing very much as anything. He won't have as goo an O line this year as he did last so we will see how that works out. I would say AJ now but if the coaches open up the passing a bit, who knows. I'm gonna guess he is a 4.6 or 4.7 guy and that's really fast for a qb.

How fast did Landon Collins run his 40 yard dash coming out of high-school at the Spark combine? Do they use electronically timed? I think I remember him running in the 4.3 or 4.4 range...

I ask because Nick Marshall outran in to the endzone in the Iron Bowl and I view Nick Marshall as a 4.4 or 4.5 type speed guy.

He definitely has some speed to burn, and as you said, that's fast for a quarterback.

Maybe but I thought some of those guys who ran 4.6 and 4.7 today were a lot faster. I also thought Julio would run about a 4.55 or so, as well, though.

He actually may be in the 4.5 speed range. We lost one and have a 4 and 5 star following him. I think our OLine will be even better from the left guard to RT and a small to no drop off at LT. Not to mention the time Marshall is getting in throwing. I think Marshall can surprise a few people this year with his passing I agree with you there.

I agree with that. I was surprised De'Anthony Thomas ran a 4.50. The way he looked I was expecting 4.3-4.4. So you make a good point

Anything better than 4.8 for a QB is flying. Look at poor AJ's 4.9 and he almost never failed to get to the corner or turn up field when he needed to.

I agree, 4.6 is still very good for a QB.

And all were wasted picks. I hope he proves me wrong though. He will get his chance this year to toss around the rock some more. Who was the QB from Illinois or Indiana that has a really successful transition to WR? Ended up at the Steelers? Had a Muslim name...can't think of his name. Anyway..,that's who Marshall reminds me of.

Antoine Randle-El

Indiana, too.

Great comparison, in all honesty

While true, I wouldn't care... It's up to Auburn and Nick Marshall to get drafted. Once he's drafted, it's up to Nick Marshall and said team to make him in to whatever he is supposed to be.

I'll root for him to be successful, regardless.

I would bet anyone a buck that he turns out better than all four of those bums listed. The guy just got it done and he will get better. I like him as a QB. I think I just threw up a little.

Marshall will be the reincarnation of Steamin' Willie Beamen in the pros. AJ will hold a clipboard his entire career

I strongly disagree with that. At this moment in time, half to 3/4's of the QB's in the NFL are terrible at worst and ineffective at best. AJ proved today that he has sound mechanics and footwork and he threw the ball as well as any one there. He will be able to play when the time comes, if he gets picked in the right spot.

Was it a direct footrace of 40 yards, winner gets a touchdown?

OH that isn't a thing? then how bout you STFU.

Is he gonna 1 first? His accuracy is atrocious. He just hums the ball.
in his top 3 games for passing attempts you are 1-2.
