There's quite a trend. Almost all of them turned out to be super-stars in the SEC.

Tre'Davious White or
Kendell Beckwith

Auburn:
Carl Lawson- Auburn is extremely limited in depth at defensive end and he should see early playing time. He will come in at 6'3 255-260 LBs and is rock solid. He has superior technique for a freshman and an incredibly explosive first step
Elijah Daniel is in a similar situation

There's a certain recruit from this past class coming to Auburn that I think has the type of ability to make it a possibility, but I refuse to say it because it would jinx the hell out of it.

Chris Jones is probably the only guy we have that has a chance, and I'm not betting on it. Too raw.

So much for not jinxing it. Damnit GC

Warren Norman is the only one that tailed off as his knee problems got pretty bad.
Everyone else has made some type of All American or All SEC in their career not freshman related

Carl Lawson wasn't winning it even if I didn't say it We are Auburn, things never work out that well that we don't pay for

One of these is not like the others...

IMO, the only players on our team with a legit chance will be at the WR spot. We have a number of heralded freshmen coming in, but I think either JaQuay Williams or Sebastian Larue will have the best chance as both could possibly start and will get major playing time either way.

Probably no one. We only signed 6 offensive skill position players and I don't think we have any redshirt freshman. Only 2 out of the past 9 winners have been on the defensive side of the ball and we didn't sign a superstar defensive player. Also, we only have one freshman projected to start and that's at Center.

Dyer not winning it in 2010 reminds me of just how good ML was
As for Auburn 2013, who knows. If JJ wins the starting QB job, it could be him. Carl Lawson and Monty Adams have a shot if they pick up the defense quickly. I'm not sure who all we redshirted last year so I might be overlooking someone. But if the couldn't make it on the field for us in 2012, I can't imagine they will be the best freshman in 2013.

Adams is far too raw. CL might have a chance if the chips fall perfectly (which they won't). And there's no way JJ is winning the starting job unless we run into some major issues before the season.

It'll be an offensive guy, idk about LSU, but maybe a guy like Alex Collins at Arkansas, or one of Bama's incoming guys will be this years Yeldon for them.
But if I had to pick one for LSU, Greg Gilmore and Tre'Davious White are monsters who are going to get alot of PT

This one hurts. I wish we got him. fricking NCAA

Only two who may see the field at positions that matter for FOY are Javierre Mitchell and Gimel President

Monty Adams
There is next to no freshman who can come in and play DT at the level that would put them in the running.

Robert Nkemdiche and Lequon Treadwell are the only two that I can think of. They're both physical freaks and Treadwell will go HAM on some SEC corners this year.

Hey, we have limited people to pick from and I felt depressed only putting Carl's name in the mix

Carl Lawson has a good shot with his combination of work ethic and elite quickness and strength. He's physically ready, hopefully he can handle it mentally
