LSU will find that no well-known winning and currently employed coach is going to LSU.

If Bob Stoops is fired, he would probably come to LSU after taking a year off.

Dave Aranda would accept the HC job at LSU.

Other coaches apparently hate working with this dude, but he's clearly an unreal DC.

At this point, I'd be perfectly fine hiring an up-and-coming coordinator if we couldn't get Jimbo or Herman. And Aranda is already here and could maybe keep the defensive staff intact which would be awesome and he's clearly very intelligent so I'd trust him with the OC/staff hires.

But we make both of them say no first to a very ridiculous offer. Like 6 years guaranteed at 6 per or something.

Football makes more revenue than anything else for LSU. The ROI on an absurd contract is still really good.

How do you know Herman would decline?

I don't see Jimbo working out. He loves LSU and has said so much, but I don't see him taking the leap, plus it would cost LSU millions.

I'm not so sure Herman would turn down LSU. La produces all the talent he would need to run rough shod on most teams, and he wouldn't have to fight Texas, Aggy, TCU, or OU for it.

I feel like Herman will puss out and go to Texas where it will be easier to win the conference.

There was a really good chance he was coming to South Carolina until we lost to the Citadel and it scared him away

And every LSU fan will be a Texas fan tonight for that very reason.

I heard they were looking for an offensive guru. I suggest Gus Malzahn.
