People are kind of underestimating how much people had counted Auburn out at that time. Arkansas fans were going off about how glad they are they didn't have to resort to Gus, and have BB instead. It seemed that quitting had a lot to do with the SEC-winless season as y'all damn near beat us early on and then seemingly gave up not long after, but no one expected y'all to be more than an average SEC West team the next year.

I'd MUCH rather it stay where it is. I think it is incredibly important it does as well. I think having a permanent game in the metroplex is vital, and Arkansas will play SOMEONE there if we don't.

As was stated they have the A&M deal. This must be a year where that would be a home game otherwise.
Without putting much thought into it, I would imagine it's hard to get EVERYBODY's schedule aligned into something like H-A-H-A-H-A-H-A so somebody probably gets the short end every year. They had an away game in the very first week last year so at least it's better than that.

Yeah...we've played one of the hardest schedules in the nation the last few years.
Thankfully we get AU at home, which will ultimately decide the west...

I would like to move the Aggies back to a campus game as our two fanbases have such a history of travelling to one another's campuses for games.
Ideally we would still play a game each year in Jerry's World, but it would be a marque OOC opponent. Maybe put it on a rotation within the SEC West where LSU, A&M, and Arkansas each get a game every three years against a big name OOC opponent. It would help recruiting for all three schools to hit the Dallas area.

I'm definitely in favor of moving the Aggie series back to the campuses.

With the way the scheduling was drawn out from 2014 on we'll have been at LSU, Auburn, and at Alabama again before we even see anyone else in the West aside from our permanent opponent of Mississippi State. I think it then goes Ole Miss, A&M, and then Arkansas. Unfortunately you're not the only one who's been told to get fricked by that wonderful SEC scheduling.

Yep, last year we only had three home games because we were the "home" team at the Jerryworld game. I'm split on what to do with the Arkansas game, I see positives and negatives on both sides, but the every other year only having three SEC home games really sucks.
I think what our folks are trying to do is get a marquee OOC team at home on campus for those years and then the years where we have four home games schedule a big away or neutral game to ease the blow. So we have UCLA next year at Kyle in 16 and Clemson at Kyle in 18 when we only have three conference home games. We play ASU in Houston this year and UCLA @ the Rose Bowl in 17 when we have four home games.
