Look, I hate Tennessee as well as Auburn. Like every Bama fan, I do hate UT, but I think most Bama fans that grew up in Alabama hate Auburn worse.
It -is- understood on a national scale that this is very easily argued as the most heated rivalry in college football or sports period... I think Bama fans like to keep the UT hate alive, and maybe sometimes posture a little because it's fashionable to hate UT more.
I realize that's not the common belief of Bama fans on this board, but I can guarantee you the Bama/Boog rivalry is more intense.

I'm with m2pro. Many Bama fans hate Tennessee more, because Tennessee is a more competitive program and, of course, Phil Fulmer. But for me, with auburn it's not just hate. It goes deeper - I am disgusted by them, and what they represent. Bitter little stepsisters who live their lives to discredit Bama, and celebrate a "tradition" of throwing toilet paper into trees.

Considering how msu hasn't beat LSU since Kennedy was assassinated, it doesn't accomplish a lot to root for state in that situation.

Oh, and the hate for UT comes from Phil Fulmer and the whole Bama and NCAA thing. It was more like AU/UGA rivalry before that, in terms of two programs that aren't out to kill each other and respect each other, yet they still play every year and still want to beat each other really badly.
