However, if Arkansas wins and Bama plays Arkansas for the NC it would be pretty damn funny.

Right. And an Arkansas win would likely put UA at #1 and in the SECCG, but there's the chance that Ark could jump UA and LSU only fall to 2 if we struggle against AU.
But I think as long as UA wins they are good to go honestly.

Arkansas. You need a buffer between Alabama and OSU in the human polls to guarantee a spot in the NC game

Not necessarily. Say Arkansas wins, jumps to #1, and LSU only falls to #2. In that case, Arkansas would go to the SECCG, and you guys would be in our position, waiting for the BCSCG.
