I loved Devall but knew he was a better fit at Bama. Kwon fits LSU smaller, faster scheme. I have wondered if Saban would have tried to put 20 lbs on Kwon or moved him to safety. 6' 2" 227

Ummm, it was pretty common knowledge that he wanted to go to bama, but they didn't offer.

Saban knew he needed Alexander at LSU to help knock off Ole Miss.
It's all part of his incredible foresight.

A bunch of NFL type talent
Will be on-the-field in 2 weeks when we play

Pretty sure linebackers were not a high priority after Bama got Anderson and Devall, which seemed like a better fit in the 3-4. I think all 3 players made the correct choice of schools.

Alabama took 3 OLBs that year:

Ryan Anderson
Dillon Lee
Tyler Hayes

Anderson and Lee are second teamers. Hayes didn't pan out. Kwon is better than all of them. But all we heard about from Alabama fans was how they didn't want him, and he was undersized, etc. But he makes more tackles per game than anyone on Bama's team.

Are ILBs, not OLBs.

I'm sure Kwon's injury had something to do with it. He's been the most consistent, and best, defensive player for LSU this year.

Not even the least bit accurate. Devall was also a take and he and Anderson play a lot; at least until he was injured. Lee plays as well but carry on thinking the kid wouldn't have come to Bama if we had given him a commitable offer after his injury. Now if want to talk missing players? Roc, Bama, Auburn... shite on a shingle Bama should have offered him instead of chasing Fournette.

Is a Jack LB at Alabama. He was recruited to be an OLB and has only played OLB. You should check your facts before trying to correct others.

Lol at people in here laughing at Saban. Yes, he missed. Hindsight is 20/20. When you recruit the best of the best, sometimes you miss on other talent while pursuing what you think is better. Every elite recruiter has multiple misses like this instance. I'm thankful Saban did, but I'm not going to laugh or mock him for it. Miles does it too

Especially when a recruit is injured. Sometimes thats the only thing that separates Player A from Player B during the recruiting process.

To answer the question, Denzel Devall and Ryan Anderson

Two studs. Anderson has been a beast the last few weeks. Alexander's injury is what really put us off though. If he had been healthy one of those guys wouldn't be here IMO.

I love that Gump arrogance! Like all that has to happen is Little Nicky make a phone call. He CHOSE LSU and we chose him! Not everyone wants to put up with Little Nicky's BS.

Kwon had a greyshirt offer. You're delusional if you really believe that he would have chosen LSU over Bama if he had a firm committable offer and would have been allowed to come in with the rest of the class.

Can't say I blame him though. LSU is a great program no doubt, but Alabama was Kwon's first choice...
