I would pick Dobbs over Harris, Bama Qb cause Kiffen has proven to be better OC then Cameron, I think Harris will improve from last year and then Knight cause all the other qbs unproven.

More of a sign of not having many proven qbs in the SEC.

I look for Saban to go with Bateman. He always goes with the veteran Qb less likely to turn the ball over.

Bateman has a noodle arm and will turn it over too much. He's still 3rd best in sec though.

Arm strength isn't everything look at what Greg McElroy did at Bama
Bateman didn't play good last year but one thing Saban does is develope talent and they improve every year.
I bet Bateman starts against USC.
Aj McCarron didn't have a cannon either.

There are better quarterbacks in this league than people think. And our teams recruit the position well. So just because they are new faces doesn't mean they aren't good, which has been the leagues rep.

Statistically speaking I'll go with
1. Kelly
2. Knight
3. Allen
4. Del Rio
5. Dobbs

Mostly because of the offenses they play in.

If Austin Allen ends up statistically 3rd in the conference then we will challenge for the West

Lots of if's there

Look, I think Eason will be the best QB in the SEC eventually, but he hasn't played a down in the SEC yet.

Pump the brakes.

Probably, but I don't think he finishes the season as qb. AJ had 2x the deep ball as cooper too. Batemans deep balls die mid air and get picked off.

I think Dobbs is solidly second. After him it really does become a almost no mans land of starters. Knight has shown flashes but was also benched. Harris was a weakness for his team last year. Bama doesn't even have a QB yet. Del Rio is wildly unproven. Allen has a good pedigree but hasn't shown anything for himself. Eason is obviously very naturally talented but he's a true freshman walking into the toughest defensive conference in CFB. I'm not ready to anoint him based off high school or a spring game.

Aj has a stronger arm now but he couldn't throw much over 50yds in college but like I said arm strength isn't everything.
