Mississippi really is poor if someone worth $900 million even comes up when talking about most wealthy person in the state...

To be serious though, the people who break
these rules aren't people worth 9-11 figures, it's people worth 7 figures that want to have an immediate impact but can't afford to donate enough to have something named after them. They also typically love the program and know the team, not distant figures that drop cash because of a sense of obligation, tax write off, or being part of the see and be seen crowd (well, they do that too...but that isn't why they go to the games).

He fronted Dickie Scruggs a lot of money back in the day with asbestos lawsuits and also gets royalties from the MS tobacco lawsuit as well.

He's got the biggest suite and gives a lot of money but couldn't tell you the starting QB's name. It's infuriating.

He also supposedly has one of the biggest homes in Mississippi, and gives big donations to the Democratic Party and many of their candidates not even in Mississippi.

It's amazing. Every stone on the outside was imported from Italy and he spent a mil populating his property with deer. My aunt got married thwrw and I got to stay in his guest house for a weekend once. Big dem yes. Hillary and Bill have been over there a many a times.

That's pretty enticing. My mouth waters every time I think about the chicken on a stick at the Chevron on the corner across from the Square.

I miss the old Nafoom. Used to be my favorite sports related site.

This version of the Foom is sophomoric and talentless.

Yessir. It might not have been a hundred dollar handshake but I always got the feeling it was just as appreciated.

I'm pretty sure this is an unwritten prerequisite for membership into the State Bar Association. Not saying he's no ideologue, but in that profession you've got to play ball if you want to get in the game.

He still gets money from the asbestos lawsuit from years ago and actually funded the Scruggs' tobacco case that got Scruggs upwards of $800mm.

Who is David Nutt? You are kidding, right? The $500 million dollar man that funded tobacco litigation.
