Not correct, Auburn played KSU, Bama played West Virginia, LSU played Wisc., you stated marquis games, well Baylor played SMU and Northwestern State plus they play no conference title game.

They should never be ahead of OSU.

Like I said, what message does the committee send if they reward a crap OOC schedule by placing Baylor ahead of Ohio State ? OSU should have played a crap OOC schedule, that is the message you would send by picking Baylor, the committee is NOT GOING TO PUT BAYLOR IN, TO SEND A MESSAGE. BANK IT.

Are you talking about Ohio State? If so, which big OOC game did they win?

The CFP Rankings have consistently been better than the polls IMO.

FSU is not one of the best 4 teams in the country, hell they probably aren't one of the best 10 teams in the country.

Their spot in the top 4 is purely out of obligation at this point.

Well then they should just pick the 4 teams they think are good any be done with it. Why even take into consideration record at all.

It won't hurt my feelings whichever of those two get in, but I think they ARE taking the record into account. Baylor "beat" TCU 61-58 at home. Not a typo. The head-to-head is to me almost meaningless.

And then there's last week: Baylor stopped a 2-pt conversion against an awful Texas Tech team to prevent the game going to overtime. TCU beat Texas Tech by 55. TCU beat KSU 41-20. Let's see what Baylor does.

What's REALLY going to chap a lot of butts here is when BOTH get in.

TCU, Baylor, KSU and Oklahoma. The rest are mediocre to bad.

Minnesota, and Auburn are the highlights of their OOC schedules, and they are 1-1 against those two teams.

I think WVU, Texas, and Ok State are pretty decent. I probably shouldn't have said solid, but I don't think they're bad teams at all. I think all three of those teams might be top 3 in the SEC East (not that it says much).

WVU only lost to Bama by 10, Texas should have beaten UCLA, and OK State probably should have beaten FSU (although it looks like everybody feels that same way). Oklahoma spanked Tennessee (pre-eyebrowless), TCU spanked a decent Minnesota team, Baylor played no one, and KSU looked more impressive than Auburn. Again, I still don't think they are as good as the SEC, but I think it's much closer than anyone is willing to admit.

LISTEN CARFULLY.

OSU PLAYED VIRGINA TECH OOC.

Point being you can not reward a team for playing a crap ooc schedule. If OSU played the same crap ooc schedule they would be undefeated.

Baylor chose to play all cupcakes.

They should be punished.

Well Virginia Tech isn't exactly the shite. But I do see what you're saying. I think OSU should be in over Baylor.

To be fair they play 9 conference games

So does the PAC 12. They still have a conference title.

70% of the big 12 teams are pretty solid

Bowl-eligible teams in that conference:

TCU 10-1
Baylor 10-1
Kansas State 9-2
Oklahoma 8-3
West Virginia 7-5
Texas 6-6

Out of those, only four could be considered "solid". 70% = 7/10. When 7/10 ARE NOT bowl eligible, they aren't "solid" by any metric.

Texas has a worse offense than Florida. They would lose to Missouri, Georgia, Kentucky, Tennessee, Florida, and possibly South Carolina.

West Virginia MIGHT finish top 3...as in 3rd.

Oklahoma State has lost their last 5 games, getting worse as the season goes on. They even quit on the QB who should have beaten FSU.

To be fair, outside of our marquis game, Alabama and most of the SEC has shite OOC schedules.

Good God, Man. We have to play each other, not Iowa State, Texas Tech and other crappy teams like that.

As far as I am concerned there are 6 teams that have a legitimate claim to not just being in the top 4, but have a legitimate claim at No. 1.

Hopefully, 2 of these will lose this weekend.

True but we also get to play crappy SEC teams most years. This is the first time in a long time that all of our SEC opponents are bowl eligible at the end of the year. Our schedule this year is actually pretty damn impressive because of that. As is most of the SECWest teams.

Either way, we play shitty out of conference teams because of the toughness of the SEC, and I understand that. I also enjoy our marquis games. Baylor is certainly getting kicked around for not scheduling one of those

Anyone who thinks FSU shouldn't be in one of the top 2 spots is crazy.

If any of our teams were undefeated it wouldn't matter to us if we won every game by one point, 2-0, or ran a last second missed field goal back to win by 6..

...we'd be melting like crazy if they weren't in the top 2. Especially, if they were the last unbeaten...

I also think it's horsesh*t that 'Bama, potentially, has to go through FSU and Oregon, which is, imo, the most difficult path to the Championship.

'Bama, the #1 seed, should be playing #4 Baylor.

Baylor beat TCU; to me, that trumps all. They beat them, period.

1. 'Bama
2. FSU
3. Oregon
4. Baylor

jmo.

Maybe you should read more carefully, but that's asking too much apparently.

I said "win"

FSU in my opinion should be ranked higher than everyone but Bama.

Their ooc, schedule included Notre Dame, UF and OKST. that is better than anyone else's ooc schedule by a wide margin. which should make up for the weak assed acc schedule.

Here's supposedly a composite most similar to the BCS:
1. Alabama
2. Oregon
3. TCU
4. Ohio State

This ^ makes the most sense. I realize FSU is undefeated but clearly even tOSU has a better resume.

Ohio St has means to move up by beating Wisconsin as well.

I don't think that's going to happen. Wisconsin has a strong defense and OSU will be down to their #3 QB.
