Is it true that the LSU-Corndogs thing was started by the Big 12 to make fun of Nebraska, and later adopted by the SEC after an Auburn fan accused LSU fans of smelling like corndogs?

Sounds more like they're sponsoring the Texas State Fair, Nebraska, Iowa, or Diners,Drive Ins and Dives....

That's my understanding... Searching for the history just returns a few dozen threads from Tiger Droppings, so I guess this place is the most authoritative source on the matter.

i dont understand the big deal with calling us corndogs. corndogs are delicious and youre lying if you say you dont enjoy them.

I don't know, but the first time I heard it was close to 15 years ago, so it isn't new.
