It was stupid to intercept that on 4th down

In theoretical terms, you're right. But the interception guarantees one very important thing -- you know exactly who will have ball when the play is dead. Batting it away isn't a guarantee of an incomplete pass. There could be another player nearby, or the guy you're guarding could fight his way through to grab it. Once you intercept it, the ball's destiny belongs entirely to you.

Didn't have to win three games. Just the SECCG and the BCSNCG.

The CoxCat is the Twirly bird. The whirly bird is the orbit motion 3rd down play action pass. You are an Auburn fan get it right.

To be fair, everyone was fooled except the 11 players on defense.

I wouldn't assume that you get in over Michigan State after taking a loss to Auburn that late.

I'd love to see the Clemson whirly bird. But it's impossible to find.

With the way the loss to Auburn occurred and a beat down of Missouri the next weekend, there is no doubt a one loss Bama SEC champion had the votes and computer rankings to be a top 2 BCS team. Bama was third in the BCS rankings even after the loss to Auburn. They are probably still 2 going into the SEC title game even with the close loss to Auburn.

Still a ton of assumptions there. Your loss would've been to an Auburn team that just lost to Georgia at home and you're assuming that you blow out Missouri and beat FSU. Alabama lost to Auburn and Oklahoma. I'm not really seeing how you pencil in a NC based on the Georgia Hail Mary.

If there was any doubt that Gus is in over his head in this conference, when he let Chandler Cox run the offense on 4th down, their doubts should have been answered once and for all.

AU paid him $4.6mm this year to come up with shite like that.

I didn't pencil in a win against FSU. That was another poster. I was responding to the thought that MSU would get in over Bama. And yes I am penciling in a win against Missouri had Bama made it to the SEC title game.

I don't think it'd be so clear cut after Bama loses to a two loss Auburn and MSU had just beat and undefeated OSU. It's a pointless argument really. Just thought the comment about that tipped pass costing Bama a NC was dumb, especially the part about it not being debatable.

How did a whirly bird thread turn into a Bama would have won the 2013 NC? Gumps be Gumping.

In fairness to Gus, he didn't bring in former NFL players to simulate the defense to go against. Probably should have.

What do you think the players in the huddle must feel when this call comes in? I would fake an injury so as not to have to be a part of it.

Jimbo Fisher has already stated that Bama would have been the NC in 2013 had they been in the game.
