They beat them off the field. If Florida goes 6-1 and UT goes 6-2...

If it were me, I'd hand it to the Vols because Florida had options and didn't take them, but I think the SEC would give it to Florida.

What madness

Has an SEC university behaved so disgracefully since UF's 1984 championship was revoked?

I too would hand it to VOLS in the extremely unlikely scenario we lose either of our next 2 games

I bet on UF. I really thought they would win outright. So I just doubled down on aTm, instead. I know I will win money betting against LSU later.

The SEC can't afford to have a SECCG that people see as illegitimate. They'll find some way to work it out. Besides, UF has some tough games even without LSU.

That said, what Mac has done here with forcing a cancellation/postponement is pretty transparent. Everyone knows his DL is out and LDR may or may not be a go.

It should definitely go to the Vols in that situation.

UForfeit should be banned from the SEC title game this year.

I highly doubt this will happen honestly. First, the rules do say highest winning percentage, but the also mention 8 conference games. Further, they mention that the SEC presidents will decide what happens if games can't be played. IF it comes to it, I suspect they'll either force Florida and LSU to play, or make it based on division wins/conference wins.

If there is discretion, and UT goes 6-2 and UF 6-1 in conference play, it seems very hard to imagine that the Gators would be allowed to slime their way to Atlanta.

Foley would seem to be the most proximate agent to this disgrace.
