In the last 25 years for football?

Mine is actually going to surprise most.

2009 - Yes..a year we lost one game and won the Sugar Bowl

4-8 was shocking, but 2009 was to me, more disappointing.

2009 we returned one of the greatest college players ever, the whole championship defensive starting unit(with tons of first round talent), and only lost two starters on offense.

This team should have been one of the greatest in college football history. 2008 UF switched their offense around after losing to Arky, and destroyed everyone they played after title the SEC title game in record setting fashion. Top five offense, defense, and special teams. That's just absurd.

This team should have rolled everyone. Including Bama. There is a reason I hate Steve Addazio more than Zook and Muschamp(combined). His absurd playcalling(DEMPS UP THE MIDDLE, TEBOW OUTSIDE) all game, ever game, was shocking. We should have lost the Arky game too, the refs won that. It was mind boggling how this team looked broken, despite the absurd talent on the roster(four NFL starting Oline starters alone, just to get the picture).

I know some will say I am spoiled and not appreciative of the team. Maybe. Just how I feel. Never been so sure of a title run in my life, including the basketball 2006 team

Either way. Give me your most disappointing year as a fan.

Bama ranked #1 and headed for a 3-peat national championship, and than the kick 6 happened.

I'd have to have pretty much the same answer... Currently trying to think of the "except one" year though...

Probably 1988.

Lost 7-6 to an LSU team that we should have crushed, or we would have gone 11-0 and played ND for the championship.

1986 was pretty bad, too. Blew a 17-0 lead in the fourth to UF and lost at home to a mediocre UGA team.

I was born two days before that game. Parents still credit me.

2000.

Started ranked #3 in the country, finished 3-8, fired our coach & and found out the NCAA was about to go in dry shortly afterwards.

Ironically enough, Mike DuBose's last win as Bama's head coach was a 45-7 demolition of Ole Miss in the 2nd week of October.

2006. Arguably the most talented LSU team we've ever had but lost 2 games.

1998 was also disappointing. Senior laden team that was full of NFL talent, ranked #6 preseason, went 4-7. fricking Lou Tepper and his prevent defense from start to finish

meh, LSU won the SEC in 1988. Should have crushed is a stretch. 1988 also is not within the last 25 years

Was at that 2006 game. Was one of the loudest games I've ever been too. LSU vs UF is always the game I look forward too. Fans always step it up for that game. So many memorable experiences during the last decade and a half.

2007 - we didn't win (and didn't deserve to) the SEC East, but we were an NC caliber team by years end and didn't get a chance to show it.

2000 was pretty disappointing, frick Mike Dubose.

1989 was very disappointing. We were rolling. 10-0. Lost to auburn in auburn. Lost to Miami in Sugar Bowl Finished 10-2 but still very disappointing.

2000, 2006, 2010

2000 - Obviously

2006 - Really thought Shula had turned the corner (as in, we'd be between 8-10 wins consistently from then on out, my expectations were a bit different then) and we'd be a competent football team. Didn't expect us to go 11-1, but expected 8-4/9-3 on the heels of 2005. Worked out ok in the long run.

2010 - That team was so talented. But, it's the only one of those in the Saban era, so I can't complain too much now.

We outplayed you the whole game, and then blew it. I think that scoring drive was only time LSU crossed midfield.

I am playing by Rant rules, the years that my team was crappy don't count.
