That's because we're almost always favored, we consistently have winning records and we virtually never win when we're not favored so we're bound to have a winning record in games we're favored. However, we've also been favored in most of the games we've lost in the last few years.
I can't even remember the last time we won straight up as an underdog. Maybe at Alabama in 2011?

You're may be correct. LSU has probably only been an underdog against Bama the last few years. And it certainly has made the losses as favorites that much harder to take.
