What I like is when you hold a team to 119 total yards and still find a way to give up 42 points. That is what I really like. Defense and still high scoring, awesome! frick you Muschamp.

I think a swarming defense is by far the most exciting thing in football. However, you have to match it with a somewhat efficient offense. Physical football in general will create more excitement, as there is something primal about watching someone else get physically dominated and yelling out in rage like football fans do. It's basically evolution from the gladiator days in rome. It's a funny concept to think about people, who in a lot of cases are very successful members of society, go to watch young people play a game and scream at the top of their lungs when they see someone impose their will on another.

I've always believed your identity shouldn't come from what you're doing, but rather being the best at what you're doing. I really don't have an offensive preference. I embraced Petrino's, now I embrace Bielema's. I just want us to excel at whatever we choose.

I love a defensive struggle more than an offensive showcase.

I like watching Spread teams with strong defenses as far as style of play goes.

High scoring over low scoring

That is EXACTLY what it is! I almost mentioned this in my own post, but it was (and is) too long already.

It's great to stand and holler AFTER your team has scored another touchdown. No question. But it is AWESOME to be standing and hollering WHILE your defense is raping and plundering.

Perhaps we "shouldn't" be this way, but I thank GOD for it!

Watching 2 HUNH teams play each other makes my eyes bleed.

Terrible football.

Any respectable game these days will be in the low 30s. Too much more and your defense sucks too much less and your offense is garbage in the day and age when offense rules.

Where is the entertainment if it's all but guaranteed that the team gets to the end zone on every drive? Why even have a defense? Some of these offensive shootouts are basically "whoever has the last drive wins"

Low scoring, ground and pound, defensive battles. That's what football is about.

Style is irrelevant for me. As long as it's a close game I'll watch and enjoy it if my team isn't in it.

If my team is involved then whatever it takes to win obviously

I prefer watching strong zone run schemes and fantastic defensive line play. I played O-Line in high school and whenever I see a game with 2 dominant lines on either side of the ball I think it is amazing. Not a fan of these air raid offenses. I prefer scores to be in the 17-27 region.

Aggressive defense that can bring pressure from every position. Our 03 defense was the best example of this. Unfortunately the spread has really made it hard to play this style. I loved our early 2000s defense that wanted to hit the QB every play.

I don't care so much about the offensive philosophy. Would prefer a ground-based attack behind a big O-line that can chew clock and minimize the risk of turnovers. But if we have the personnel then I love to see an aggressive passing game like in 01 and 13.

I'd always wanted Arkansas to have an offense like Petrino's, but that changed after we got what I wished for. It's not just about the offense, but also the defense.

Like any other fan, I want to see my team score as often as possible. However, when games get where both teams are in the 40s or 50s then the focus definitely goes to how inept the defense is. For me, the 2013 Iron Bowl (even without the Kick Six) was one of the best games I have seen. Both offenses were clicking, but the defenses were also playing well enough to stop them or force FGs. Bama's kickers constantly failing miserably really changed the outcome, but the way it was played was great.

The 41-44 game LSU/UGA was a fun air it out game, but I loved the 10-7, 20 round heavyweight bout LSU/Ole Miss game just the same.

Loved the 43-36 2010 LSU/Ole Miss back and forth, and the 9-6 GOTC LSU/Bama game even better.

I prefer a defensive match, when both offenses are capable. A 14-10 final score with the defenses holding serve are my favorite.

My least favorite is a 14-10 game when the offenses are tripping over themselves. The defenses aren't stopping them as much as they stop themselves. Those are awful games to watch.
