LSU becoming the first SEC team to lose in a Football NC game?

Doesn't count, the streak ended when 2 SEC teams qualified.

You know this as well.

The first SEC team to lose in a football national title game was Alabama to Nebraska in the 1972 Orange Bowl.

You forgot the 20 year streak of Arky not making it past the sweet 16. Hell, Alabama's shitty program has done that.

That's got to be disappointing for a powerhouse program like Arkansas.

The Chicago Cubs have won a World Series more recently than Bama making it to the Final Four.

Sorry Bama will forever be Ohio St's first bowl win over a SEC team.
