We should challenge for the West next year, so we will be in the picture at least...

I mean it's possible, and hell even 12-0 is possible.

But saying "at worse 10-2" is laughable.

Bama will destroy Penn State and LSU will easily beat Oregon as well.

Is this becoming an annual game for Arkansas?

We beat 4 out of those 6 teams this year? I wouldn't say he is out of his mind.

However, I do think we lose to Bama and LSU next year for sure.

We have a 10 year contract with them now with two options for 10 year extensions that could extend it out to 30 years.

I know we say it every year and it doesn't come to pass, but it seems that LSU, Arkansas, and Alabama could knock each other out of contention because all three will have strong teams.

South Carolina has some potential to be a wild card, but they are South Carolina so they'll choke somewhere.

We signed a contract to play them for several, years, can't remember how many. For some reason I'm thinking it's between 8-12 years, but not sure. I'll try to find out and report back unless another knowledgeable Arky lets us know.

Edit: Chesire's on top of it! Look a couple posts up.

LSU has a slightly better chance than Alabama IMHO, due to the Tide starting a new QB behind an OL that gave up so many sacks.

But either would have to be the favorite

Well it looks like Les is staying, so unless 2 losses is not too many to get in i don't like our chances.

If you took any of LSU, Arkansas, or Alabama, and put took them out of a division where they'd have to play each other, you are looking at a NC team, but it's hard to say when they can knock each other out of contention.

All 3 of those teams rotated onto South Carolina's schedule the year they won it all.

Is that supposed to make the schedule easier, or prepare them for a tough team?

2011 Arkansas Schedule
....
W Texas A&M (in Dallas)
W Auburn
W at Ole Miss
W at Vanderbilt
W South Carolina
W Tennessee
W Mississippi State
....

In order for Arkansas to have SEC and national title hopes, they need to 7-0 through this portion of the schedule, and that is very doable. Easiest teams are on the road, the A&M game is 50/50 crowd and we're 2-0 in that game, and then we have a string of tough games that we should be the favorite in since we're at home.

If we go 7-0 through that portion, and split the LSU/Bama games, then Arkansas probably wins the West and has serious BCS Championship hopes.

If Mississippi State can sign Cam while he's a free agent this time around they may have a shot next year.

Winner.
