Shh. Don't tell them or they might not figure out that those comments are exactly the reason Phil and Serranaux worked overtime this offseason.

It's amazing that LSU had essentially two freshman QBs last year and so many people come to the conclusion that they aren't going to be improved with a year of experience. I also don't believe I've seen Fournette, possibly the best player in the country, mentioned once in this thread. Also thrilled to be done with 3rd and Chavis.

I have a feeling that Auburn will do well this year and Alabama will fall. Bama will still be ranked at the end of the year, but they will go 9-3 and will not win the West.

Not as much as you think.

UGA is about right, with a 5 spot range either way.

LSU last year finished unranked after going 8-5. they didn't lose a non conference game last year, so getting their 4 wins from easy games this year as you are implying won't improve LSU compared to last year. looking at the specific games, LSU always has a good chance to win home games, but the home/away switch from last year is, in my opinion, unfavorable. @Miss St - Miss St is perceived to have taken a step back from last year, but they blew LSU away in DV and now LSU plays them away. Auburn - have to come to DV but they blew LSU away last year and have probably improved as much or more over their 2014 squad as LSU has @SCAR - could probably call this an easy win if it was in DV, but it isn't, so it probably won't be. SCAR performed significantly below talent last year, I expect them to rebound at least some. Florida - @DV, probably a win, but can't be absolutely certain @Alabama - very little chance of a win Arky - shut out LSU last year in fayetteville, a team expected to be competitive in all games this year, to be significantly improved over last year, and very much a threat, even in DV @Ole Miss - lost in DV to LSU last year by a FG, Ole Miss is beatable but all of the home field advantages, homecoming, night game, are gone. A&M - Seems like the most obvious win of any listed, which is why you'll probably lose. A&M is going to get you eventually. Auburn had no business losing at home last year to A&M, but probably were totally drained after their game @Ole Miss. Hey, look who and where LSU plays the week before A&M? weeeeird. But hey, you got 16 starters from your 8-5 team, should be a cake walk.

Great 4th grade-level analysis. And my previous post obviously implied I thought LSU's schedule would be a cake-walk.

FWIW, I have LSU going anywhere between 8-4 and 10-2 in regular season, depending on QB play and health of front 7

Auburn. JJ might be good but he is no Cam. No way Cam sits behind a CB for two years. Also first year under Muschamp. 3 losses regular season.

Alabama will fall the hardest. Not because of final ranking, but because Auburn will beat that arse in Jordan Hare and the gumps will melt like butter

the answer is The Vols. As much smoke as those assholes have pumped if they don't win the east it will look like Jonestown the morning after around here.

You're not a very smart man, Gump.

I think this year it is LSU

I don't think LSU will be terrible, but I don't think they're a top 15 team.

Two things you don't realize.

How close they were to being a top 15 team last year, and the second being that they return SIXTEEN starters, many of which were TF with elite talent.

But of course, you aggies have it all figured out. BTW, Vegas thinks they will not only be top 15, but has them in the top 10 odds to win the NC. But what does Vegas know right?

Holy shite. Hey dumbazz, I can't believe you just put that much effort into that. You do realize that most of those 16 returning starters were very young last year right? They started off poorly with State and Auburn...before starting to gain experience and improve. This year State returns 7 starters...yes, 7 starters. Auburn returns 4 on offense. LSU is favored in 11 of 12 games, and if you had any knowledge of LSU/Bama whatsoever, you would actually know that LSU generally performs very well at Bama......but hey....you got it all figured out...carry on.

Weird seeing LSU unranked at the end of last season. They're just currently one of those teams that should seemingly be Top25 at all times with the talent they bring in

not really. They lost 17 underclassmen the previous two years to the NFL draft...that, combined with the inexperience at QB and the skill positions, and LSU actually did pretty well winning 8 games...and literally handing the game to Bama. This year, they won't be inexperienced, and they are supremely talented. Going to surprise a lot of people early on.

I'd say A&M, but they were are ranked so low that they can't fall much more so I'm going with Auburn.

Actually, LSU would be the much easier pick.

you do realize that over the last 10 years, since Miles has been there, that LSU has performed twice as well as Georgia right? This was dumb to start with to show this data though. You should not even show your face on this site about underachievement after allowing fricking sorry AZZ Missouri to win the Least 2 years in a row.

I think Auburn, though

If we're only talking top-10 teams, then it's gotta be Auburn. LSU is also a solid choice.

That was the worst defense in school history last year. Bruh that ain't happening back to back

Whammy Ward has surpassed his coaching abilities. I admire Spurrier for giving him the chance but he's not a good defensive coordinator. Y'all brought in a guy to help but having two defensive coordinators is a bad idea. I just think Spurrier is trying to get rid or demote Ward without losing the players that seem to like him.
I thought the Ole Ball Coach did some of his best coaching last year after it was obvious he had no defense. Another year like that and he may retire.
------------------------------------------------

If Ole Miss can't get good Bo qb play from Kelly they may drop to the bottom of the wishing well.

Arkansas has some brutal games so they may have a poor record but I like what Bert is building.

Alabama has a brutal schedule and a pass happy OC. That might get them in deep shite unless a QB steps forward. We've got several with potential.

My prediction is Ole Miss or Auburn.

Tennessee will have the most disappointed fans with just an average team that loses every game against a quality opponent.

Out of curiosity......why the easy pick?

how often has UGA overachieved vs underachieved?

ETA: especially related to the talent brought in year in and year out

that said, I suppose you could throw LSU in the mix, although we're not top 10

We could go 6-6 this year but a repeat of last year is a reasonable guess, and that would be a 4th year in a row Uga lived up to the hype they were given.

them going 8-5 last season. In fact LSU and USC have been mirror images of each other recently. Last year you went 8-5 we went 7-6 only we had a terrible defense. Hell if we would've had a 1/3 of what LSU had on defense we would have produced another 10 win season. We crapped the bed in three games all with less than 2:00 in the 4th quarter. Whatever LSU does this season I predict USC will be on par with them or slightly better record wise

What silly reasoning. Last year could have also been a lot worse for sc Ya know.

The level of delusion and exaggerated potential of this one player is astounding.

To answer the OP.

Lsu, Ark or UT. Mainly because of the hype from their own fans.
