Seeing how bad Alabama's bball team is and how shitty their season has gone, makes me wonder why they aren't competitive in other sports. You'd think with that big of a school, all those students, alums, money, boosters, etc they'd be relevant in other sports. This isn't just an Alabama bashing thread, but are they relevant (besides football) in anything other than women's gymnastics? They have to take the cake for most disappointing athletic department, if not one of the worst overall.

So if not Bama, who does have the worst sports program overall? Ole Miss?

Eta: Mooooseee, ouch

I'd probably say Ole Miss. Rebels, please correct me if i'm wrong, but I don't think y'all have a sport that y'all just dominate. They are just mediocre at everything.

Bama is more relevant than UF in baseball, and historically basketball (UF wasn't isht before the 90s). Softball is another one.

I'm pretty sure BAMA Softball is ranked #1 every year.

Always win the SEC in tennis if I'm not mistaken. But yeah, we're pretty mediocre across the board unless we are having a really good baseball season.

Right now it's Ole Miss. They suck at football and basketball, decent at baseball but can't get over the hump to make it to Omaha.

Championships don't matter?

Who cares about history? I think he's saying Bama should be better than they are in several sports.

We suck at football. We're mediocre at basketball and I'll say we are better than average at baseball.

I think it's pretty crazy to put one of the best college football programs and worst overall sports program in the same sentence.

I think a lot of it has to do with Bama being so focused on football. They just don't care as much about other sports.

Teams such as OM, Vandy, UK, MSU who never win championships in football focus more on the other 2 big sports than some other schools, because we have a better shot at making a final 4 or Omaha than a BCSNC.

Although they do field solid teams. So is that it? Women's softball and women's gymnastics? So is Ole Miss dead last then? Who's next to them at the bottom?

Is this a flame or are you serious?

It's on the downill for sure, but we are still a bubble team. That's more than most of the SEC can say.

OM won the men's tennis regular season 5 times since 1990 according to the SEC website.

Women's softball and women's gymnastics?

These aren't just decent programs. These are top 5 programs in the nation, along with football.

How many SEC schools can claim that?

LSU (football, baseball, ?)

Florida

Who else?

It should be noted here that you are claiming Bama has the worst overall sports program currently and we can claim three top 5 programs. When you start talking about in the SEC, you would probably have to include Men's Golf and before tonight men's basketball was probably the 5th team in the NCAA tourney.

So you tell me, is this the mark of the worst sports program?

Stupid question is stupid question.

Ole Miss was the only SEC school to miss the post season in football, basketball, and baseball last year if I remember correctly.
