They are supposed to be homers. Only thing I care about is knowing what is going on during the game when I can't watch (rarely happens). MSU post Jack Cristil is horrible as far as the play by play.

My favorite thing about David Kellum (Ole Miss) is when he gets all excited "RB sweeps to the side, 1 man to beat", as his excitement builds to a fever pitch... "brought down for about a yard gain." DK isn't that bad but he does some homerish things that make me chuckle but as I said...

David Kellum (OM announcer) is a complete idiot... Some OM fans like him but most of us hate him and are saddened by the fact that he'll probably be in the booth until his 80s.

Chris Stewart doing Bama basketball games is a trip. He is a homer and rides the refs pretty much like a fan. I love listening to his call even though the product has sucked lately.

I agree I like his call. I also enjoy his radio show. Also the late sports show on JOX. Can't think of the name but the host is awesome.

Kellum has gotten better overtime IMO. BTW, how old is Stan Sandroni? Gracious,he's been the sideline guy since Archie was there.

DK is a huge homer, but I mean, it's not like they're a media member not employed by the University.

I agree they should be homers, though I do hate it when every call (or non-call) is bad. However, I don't think they're all university employees. For example, Rod Bramblett is an employee of the Auburn IMG Sports Network, which has an exclusive contract with Auburn University and is owned by IMG College.

When your school broadcaster quits being a homer, the coach is usually close to getting fired.

They are supposed to be homers and Larry Munson was the best that there ever was.

Now, I'm also of the mind that the post-post-game show should be free reign to ridicule. So, after all the locker room interviews and review of the stats and calls of the game are over and they switch things over to another commentating team (for UGA it's Kevin Butler and, used to be, Kelin Johnson), that team should have free reign to be as critical as they want. In fact, nothing agitates me more after UGA has played poorly than hopping in the car and having the broadcast team try to pump sunshine up my arse. Dammit, I want to hear the hard truth. It helps my hangover.

i'll give credit, he does a solid job... much better than when eli was still doing hoops.

bob kesling does a great job with play by play here in TN... but bob burtlecamp (or whater) is a stupid homer who adds nothing... he's also the color man for both football and basketball -- WTF...

This is when it gets hiliarious. When they keep blowing sunshine up your arse after a 35-10 beat down, well that is just gold !!!

No, they just hate it when he makes negative comments after a bad play. You can hear his voice deflate.
That said, he is a huge Tiger homer. When things go right, it's """Hooooly COWWWWW !!"""

I remember during the 2010 season. I think we had just lost to Colorado and the mantra they repeated every minute was "The Dawgs will be back" and "it's always darkest before the dawn." I wanted to fly out to Colorado to beat the shite out of them for that disney garbage.

If you just listened to David Kellum, you would think that we get hosed by the refs more than any other team in the country. Especially in basketball.
