For reference: Official Preseason Prediction Thread

fwiw, the OP didn't state '2013'... delusion goes way beyond one season. The vast majority of the fans with new coaches think they'll have mediocre teams (anywhere from 4 to 7 losses this season)

I get the impression that Arkansas fans think Beilema will have their program to Wisconsin level within the next 3 years or so. I have no idea if he'll do that or not, and someone who had success at UW should be able to have success at a program like Arkansas.

With that said, BB was handed a Cadillac by Alveraz... he's inherited a 96 ford torus by JLS/Petrino.

i get that. but i think the tempered expectations of Arkansas fans for this season is a good sign that most, if not all on here, are realistic.

i don't get that impression at all. "3 conf. championships/3 Rose Bowls in a row" is basically a response to those saying Bielema is unproven and will fail hard (and there are a lot saying that). No Arkansas fans I know of are expecting 3 BCS bowls in a row, just to get us regularly competitive and in the SEC hunt now and then.

I know things so I have the exact answer.

1. Arky and UT
3. UK
4. Aubren

Arky and UT is too close to call.

so three years of rebuilding won't be enough to get to competing/playing in BCS bowls?

IMO, in todays game if a coach can't get it down with three years to rebuild, then just hang it up.... or maybe I wasn't clear enough... three average/mediocre seasons sould be ample time to rebuild.

well gosh damn if we temper our expectations then we should just hang it up, if we think we'll eventually be good then we're delusional.

where's the soft spot here?

Kentucky is the least delusional

Auburn hasn't accepted that sometimes Cords don't work as HC's so they need to at least accept the possibility of failure is there. UF has had 2 cords as coaches the last ten years. One was a complete failure, one looks like he has got it done. So we should let him work before crowning him anything.

Arkansas got a proven HC. But he isn't a Saban, Meyer. Peterson type level like they seem to think. He will bring Arkansas back from last year to a good program. But he isn't going to win national titles most likely unless Arkansas suddenly finds a way to out recruit Bama, LSU, Florida, Georgia, and the Aggies. You can't win the SEC without elite talent(see only the big six winning SEC titles since division's came about).

Tennessee fans are always delusional. Still stuck in the 90's. They could have hired anyone in the country, even a 90 year old man with no experience in CFB and he would beat the Gators every year, win multiple titles, and make Tennessee the biggest name in CFB.

It is, and always will be, Tennessee

I'd agree with this. Might even put a little space between AU and UT, as far as homerism goes.

Arkansas. He won't ever win more than 6-7 games there.

We still run this board obviously by the first 5 answers. Also we might win 7-8 games this year so you're a tard

You should win your first 4 games, and can MAYBE win 2 of your last 3 before LSU, but 6 wins is gonna be the absolute MAX you can win. The 8-4 prediction is just retarded!

This is retarded. We could win 8 games if things go right, you never know. Sure we'll probably be 6-6 or so, but it's not like 8 wins is that far fetched

Thinking about it I went back and forth between API and Tennessee and thus started the thread. Remembering an Auburn fan calling into sports radio and actually saying "Malzahn's offense is going to wear Bama's defense down so much that even if Bama is up at 4th quarter Auburn will have a good chance of coming back" Made me say Auburn. Thinking that the thread is all about you is a "War Eagle moment"

The length of your reply tells me everything I need to know.

I have heard Arky's coach compare himself to Nick Saban based on records at different schools in different conferences.
