Mett was the best by a mile.
The rest in no particular order.

LOL no.

Manziel had six completions for three TDs in 19 minutes

No way in hell would I want mett as a qb in our offense. He's got a damn good arm but there's a reason he was left off of a lot of qb watch lists. Of course lsu fans are acting like he's a top five sec qb

All your sarcasm aside, Brandon Allen did have a good day yesterday. Whether he continues to do so remains to be seen. Time will tell.
But he does appear to have the tools to be one of the top SEC QB's before his career is over.

were we watching the same guy? He was pretty consistent with almost all of his throws. Dropped/deflected passes, 5 throw always at least hurt his completion percentage but almost every throw was on the money imo

16/32 for 250 yards... i remember my first QB

Brandon Allen
15/22, 230 yards, 3 TD

The WRs had some drops and Mett had 4-5 throw aways because of TCU's excellent coverage.

Yeah Mett was 16 of 32 last night but he threw some great balls that only his receivers could catch.
Throwing at Landry's left hip on that TD Pass and then to Beckham's back shoulder on 3rd down.
He was throwing to spots like he hasn't before. His footwork and pocket presence has improved vastly over last year.
I'm not going overboard after just one game, but it was apparent what Mett has worked on this offseason.
Main thing was that this was LSU's first game but Mett looked like he had already played two games.

Mett looked great at times last night, IMO.
He made some VERY impressive shows, even if his completion percentage was mediocre. When his WRs don't have the dropsies, it makes a big difference.

Looks like Franklin had a nice night for Missouri:
26/38, 318 yards, 3 TD

He threw 2 screen passes in the dirt on purpose. One out of the back of the endzone. Couple of drops. It was his best game since the Bama one. Hopefully it's an every week thing for him now.

Mcarron had like 110 passing no touchdowns and 1 INT.

That's it. I watched him last year and wasn't impressed. I watched him last night and came away very impressed.
Mett put in the work this offseason and Cam's coaching has also been a great benefit.

Only a couple teams played real games so far - plus week 1 is usually the worst performance for a lot of teams. Obviously too soon to say.

quote:Yeah, completion percentage is way skewed. I can think of 4 plays (two in the red zone on early downs, two blown up screens) for sure that he just said "nope, go to the next down". Those were good plays on his part. Put in another 2-3 EXTREMELY well defended passes in the endzone, and a 50 yd bomb that hit the WR in the hands.

That stat line is a bit misleading.
When you consider who he played, how decisive and accurate he was, and the fact that LSU made no attempt at padding his percentage (he was throwing to WRs down the field almost every time), he played excellently.
