both QBs are extremely important... difference in OM/State being 7-5 and SEC title contenders.

Dak accounts for so much of state's offense both passing and rushing... some for Wallace. Ole Miss's OL and RBs aren't as good as State, so it puts even more pressure on BW to make plays, imo.

Bo going down for the season would probably improve their chances at going undefeated

We definitely wouldn't be #1. Just saying I think we would limp through the schedule. Our backups are serviceable, Williams has SEC experience

Agreed, I think we both have serviceable QB's, put a ton of pressure on both defenses if either QB went down.

I'm just projecting your well-known previously stated viewpoint onto what you actually said here...

We haven't asked Robinson to carry us -- and we wouldn't with Damian either. Surely you don't think Robinson would become less effective in the option simply because there's a different good running QB running it with him. Dak actually isn't that good of runner -- I know this because you've told me before.

So you deny previously stating and arguing everything that I have accused you of in this thread?

"Well if Dak went down, Robinson wouldn't be good" is just as ridiculous a viewpoint. He's the same player either way. We already knew what he was last year in limited carries even with Russell at Qb. We moved the ball well on the ground with Dixon and Tyson Lee -- but you argue we couldn't with Damian and JRob? The problem is your assumption that our offense stays identical with a different QB, which we have already proven to be false with all 4 starting Qbs and the 4 different offenses Mullen has had thusfar. If it came to that, we would be running multiple back sets and adding a blocker just like we did with Dixon and Dupre that first year. Damian is still more of a threat to throw right now than Tyson Lee or Chris Relf were on their best days.

Good lawd you're on a different planet. Where are these quotes from?
quote:

Robinson isn't actually an elite RB and is actually not as good as our 6 backs"

quote:

Dak actually isn't that good of runner

quote:

Well if Dak went down, Robinson wouldn't be good

Look engie.. There is absolutely nothing you can say that can make me believe that your offense would run well with Damien after watching it him run it last year and this year. Dak is the best running QB in the nation. You run the read option. You take away the best running QB, Josh will still be good, but not as good or productive without the threat of Dak keeping the ball. Everyone thinks like this because its logical. Your offense has been awful with Damien at QB this year against shite opponents and you believe yall would just run as smooth as yall are running now. Good grief

FIFY - WiO 2013

Dak is the 2nd or 3rd best running QB in the state of MS. You run the read option. You take away the best running QB, Josh will still be good, but not as good or productive without the threat of Dak keeping the ball.

WiO also 2013

You mean the offense with Archie Muniz snapping the ball and the entire group of 2's up front? That the one that you are referring to as "awful"? Damian hasn't taken a snap with our 1's all year. That's your problem -- you never see the total picture on anything that involves us. But your mind is made up because you saw 25 total plays that Damian has been involved in as a TrSO after being forced to action earlier than any other MSU QB under Mullen...

Both teams have equally good casts surrounding the QBs, but both schools are equally fricked of their QB goes down. Neither has anybody behind them.
