You do realize had he played in the two OOC games this year he would've likely hit the 2500 number right?
From 1976 yards to 2500 yards in 2 extra games? LOL no. Marshall threw for 99 yards and 147 yards on Wazzu and Ark State respectively. Those OOC patsies are games you want to go to your strength and just wear them out on the ground. Marshall still got to play in 12 games (actually played in 13 but went out early in 1), he may play in 13 this year. So yes, I'm confident in saying he wont sniff 2500 this year...I will preface that by saying he may see that if you actually have to play from behind a lot more this year like you did against LSU though, which is a strong possibility.

Ones a pocket QB and the other is a Scrambler. What point are you trying to make?

The passing numbers from our backups would've gotten him close... still your statement we won't get close in 2014 is pretty stupid. But I guess we'll see it play out.

Jeremy Johnson is a much better passer, you cant just transpose his yards to Marshall's.

Well, it's true. Funny, but true.
What is funny is that you guys keep trying to make everyone believe that Marshall isn't a horrible passer. Spin all the statistics you want, one look at the tape will show anyone the truth. He flings wounded ducks around the yard.

He wont come close to 2500. Dude is just not a good passer.
He may come close to 2500, but nowhere near 3,000.

Of course you can't... but your comment of "won't get close to 2500" is still stupid considering if he'd played in those two games we would've gotten close (just use his season avg of 150 yards and he's at 2300). I guess if he gets hurt this year he might not get close to 2500... Is that what you're saying?

Just that Nick Marshall had a better first year as a starter.

Marshall better enjoy college, because he has no future as a QB in the nfl

Either you don't know what a wounded duck looks like or you didn't watch Marshall play
He throws spirals but just overthrows and under throws them at times
Regardless, you're a fricking moron

Right, because he disagrees with you. This place never ceases to amaze me.

No. Mett has earned first round grades, and Marshall can't even dream of being as talented of a pocket passer as him.

Yep. Decent college QB, but will be a DB or possibly a WR in the NFL. That is why he was a DB at UGA, we realized that.

Coming from you, thanks.
"Wounded Duck" simply means a bad pass, though I saw plenty of end over end bs, like you are picturing, from him this year. He is a poor passer and while I expect Whitfield helped him out, he is just a QB coach, not a miracle worker. At least I don't think he is.

Mett is not a first round QB. He's a jugs machine.

Slightly off topic but Zach finished 2013 ranked 4th with a 171.4 PR. Experience and an OL not racked with injuries helps tremendously of course, but we have a lot of confidence and optimism with Cam.

I dont get the Marshall hate on this board.
He is the best Qb returning in 2014. Its not even debatable
Sure his passing numbers werent as good as some of the Qbs playing in pass heavy offenses, but when you factor in his running ability, there is no one in his category. Maybe Dak? But i think Dak is being overhyped similar to Wallace last year

I'm not sure why anyone would be 'hating'. He did a fine job and will probably be better this year.

Marshall is a better college QB than Mett but Mett is a much better passer regardless of what the stats say. Marshall is a great runner who has just enough passing ability to get by as a college QB. Mett has much better arm strength and accuracy.
